LeBauer Park is a five-acre urban greenspace in the heart of Greensboro's Cultural Arts District, made possible by a $10 million bequest from Carolyn LeBauer and opened in 2016. Designed by the Office of James Burnett, the park draws more than 375,000 visitors each year and hosts over 350 free programs and events annually alongside more than 100 local organizations. Presiding over the park is Janet Echelman's aerial sculpture "Where We Met" — a luminous, textile-inspired work that honors Greensboro's railway and manufacturing heritage and animates the park's sky after dark. At ground level, a performance pavilion, interactive fountain, café, splash pad, Lincoln Financial Children's Garden, and dog park create a rich, layered destination suited to every kind of gathering. For private events, LeBauer Park hosts weddings, fundraisers, festivals, birthday parties, and private dinners against a backdrop of downtown Greensboro and landmark public art. The venue is fully ADA accessible, staffed daily by Park Ambassadors, and served by on-street parking and two nearby city garages.
