Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Schweitzer Mountain Resort sits above Sandpoint, Idaho, at the summit of the Selkirk Mountains with panoramic views of Lake Pend Oreille and the surrounding peaks. Open year-round, the resort hosts weddings, corporate gatherings, ski club retreats, and private celebrations across a range of indoor and outdoor venues — from village meeting rooms to summit ceremony sites accessible by chairlift. Village event spaces include the North Room, Schweitzer's largest indoor venue at 3,300 square feet with lake, slope, and village views on three sides; the Caribou Room, a flexible 2,200-square-foot meeting and banquet space; the Mountain View Patio, which blends indoor and outdoor seating for up to 120 guests through glass roll-up doors; and the Lakeview Mezzanine, a 2,500-square-foot space overlooking the lake. At the summit, Sky House provides two distinct spaces — the Nest and the Red Hawk Room — each with outdoor decks and fireplaces, while the Mountain Top Patio is Schweitzer's most popular ceremony location for up to 200 guests. Schweitzer's in-house group sales team handles events from first inquiry through setup and teardown, including pre-planning meetings, professional banquet staff, tables, linens, chairs, place settings, and AV support. The resort also offers discounted lodging rates for event guests and a preferred vendor list to help round out planning.
