Simpson House Inn is a restored Victorian estate in Santa Barbara's Upper East neighborhood, originally built in 1874 by Robert and Julia Simpson. Surrounded by English gardens, shaded verandas, and a 190-year-old oak tree, the inn holds AAA's Five Diamond rating and was once the only bed and breakfast in North America to earn that distinction. The property offers exclusive full-estate buyouts for weddings and private events accommodating up to 140 guests. Events take place across the historic home, gardens, and outdoor gathering spaces. Every wedding package includes curated furnishings — farm tables, chairs, and heaters — along with daily breakfast for on-site guests, optional farewell brunch, and dedicated on-site hospitality support. Catering is provided by Executive Chef Julian Martinez, Michelin-recognized founder of Barbareño, with options spanning plated dinners, family-style service, and buffet presentations, alongside full bar and tailored cocktail programs.
