The Treman Center

The Treman Center occupies a 6,000-square-foot restored 19th-century barn on the edge of Robert H. Treman State Park in Newfield, New York, roughly 10 minutes from downtown Ithaca. The structure was discovered in 2007 by master stone mason Kevin Reilly, who spent nearly a decade dismantling, relocating, and reconstructing it — weaving regional stonework and reclaimed barn materials into a facility that pairs historic craftsmanship with contemporary sustainability features. The center hosts workshops, retreats, and cultural events focused on environmental and social change, health and wellness, arts, culture, and spirituality. Its second floor accommodates up to 30 guests for small private gatherings. Surrounding the building, Tuscan stone courtyards, a reflective pool, and gardens sit within the state park's landscape of gorges, waterfalls, and the Finger Lakes Trail.
