Trout Lake

Trout Lake sits on a 500-acre private property along a 100-acre lake in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, about an hour and a half from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia. The venue's owners purchased the property in 1991 to run a summer sports camp, and the off-season retreat center they opened alongside it has grown into today's wedding and event venue. Couples can choose from several distinct ceremony sites around the property, from lakeside views to a wooded setting or a rustic pavilion, each fully private since Trout Lake hosts only one wedding per day. Cocktail hour takes place in the Mountain View Room, which opens onto an outdoor deck overlooking the lake, before guests move to the Lake View Center for the reception. Completed in 2015, the Lake View Center seats up to 250 guests and includes a dedicated space for a DJ and dance floor, a full bar, and buffet or plated meal service. Trout Lake operates as a full-service venue with its own culinary team and a Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board license, offering plated, buffet, and themed-station menu options along with beer, wine, and premium bar packages. Beyond weddings, the property also hosts retreats, corporate gatherings, school events, and other private celebrations, with indoor and outdoor spaces including a boathouse and covered woodland pavilion available for rehearsal dinners and smaller gatherings.
