Inspired by a trip to Tuscany, The Vineyard at Florence began as a working vineyard on the gently sloped hills of Florence, Texas, and grew into a boutique hotel and resort with a winery, restaurant, day spa, and private event spaces. Its main building, Villa Firenze, was originally built in New York State around 1850 using timber-frame construction, then carefully transported to the property and restored; the surrounding buildings were designed in the same old Italian style, with tile roofs and warm exterior tones. The resort produces its own wines on-site, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Rodeo Uncorked San Antonio International Wine Competition from 2021 through 2024. For weddings and private events, the property offers a range of settings, from Ella Amore's expansive vineyard-view spaces for large gatherings to the more intimate Winemaker's Villa. Farmers Commons, the on-site restaurant, is also available for semi-private events or a full buyout, with prix fixe menus and custom cocktails. The Oasis on Lake Travis is a lakeside restaurant and event property built into the bluffs above Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country outside Austin. Founded by Beau Theriot, the property became known as the "Sunset Capital of Texas" for the panoramic sunset views from its many decks, and it was rebuilt after a fire destroyed the original property in 2005. Beyond its restaurant and live music venues, Beau's Backyard and Starlight Terrace, The Oasis offers a range of private event spaces for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, and celebrations, each with its own deck overlooking the lake. Mother-in-law Mama La was able to memorize more than 250 recipes before opening the first KIM SON Restaurant, thanks to her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine, which she received from her in-laws. In a short period of time, her food amassed a large following of thousands of followers, as well as the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam's top restaurant cities. The first KIM SON store was located in Vinh Long, but it was eventually closed as a result of the communist takeover of the country in 1975.
