Linda is the mother of 15 children. In her adolescence, she could frequently be found in bookshops reading cookbooks, and she had a cherished memory of reading "The French Laundry Cookbook" for the first time from cover to cover when it was originally published. She made the decision to attend a cooking school shortly after, having no idea that it would turn out to be a career choice. Having been born and reared in Argentina to an American father and a French mother, she comes from a diverse background of cultures and experiences, which contributes to the diverse range of flavors she enjoys putting into her dishes. She moved to the Bay Area when she was 17 years old in order to attend culinary school in San Francisco. After stays in New York and Kansas City, she returned to the Bay Area and began performing at some of the city's most prestigious restaurants, including Masa's, Campton Place, The French Laundry, and Michael Mina's, among others.

  West Oakland, California's 16th Street Station is a historic landmark that dates back to the late nineteenth century. At this time, we are not renting the interior space of the building, and we are only renting the area immediately surrounding the building. As a backdrop, the site boasts a magnificent Main Hall that is truly breath-taking. The 16th Street Station will no longer be taking any rental commitments for events that will take place within the Station. Rental of outside areas is still available. Please inquire. The 16th Street Station, which opened on August 1, 1912, marked the beginning of West Oakland as the city's gateway. The Station, which was constructed for $300,000 by the Southern Pacific Railway and designed by Chicago architect Jarvis Hunt, was built by the railroad for $300,000. That same year, the Station was featured in Western Architect magazine. The Station served as the western terminus of the transcontinental railway system, and was the last stop on the Western line. Even as recently as the 1950s, Southern Pacific was one of Oakland's most significant private sector employers. By the 1960s, the railroad company had realized that their primary source of revenue was freight transportation rather than passenger travel. However, in the early years, the usage was quite different from what it is today.

  The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak is a golf course wedding and event venue set on the grounds of Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek, California. Perched above the fairways, the clubhouse offers views of the Concord and San Ramon Valley area, providing a scenic backdrop for weddings, corporate gatherings, holiday parties, and social celebrations. The venue accommodates up to 250 seated guests and features two distinct ceremony locations: an open-air second-story patio overlooking the golf course and valley, and a grassy knoll situated beside a fountain and the greens. An elegantly appointed banquet hall with golf course views and a built-in bar serves as the primary reception space. In-house catering is provided on-site, with customizable menus and full bar service available through the Taphouse Bar & Grill. The events team handles coordination for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, corporate meetings, and other private events.   Special Occasions Our central location in the heart of Silicon Valley is just seconds from Highway 101 at San Antonio Road and minutes from Highways 280, 85 and downtown Palo Alto. We have a variety of facilities that can handle groups of 4 to 400 persons. All room fees include tables and chairs set to client specifications, entrance to our free parking underground (when available), free Wi-Fi, housekeeping, and an event attendant who will be on hand throughout your event to answer questions and assist with any last-minute requests or adjustments.
