Prince William, Virginia's Bel Air 1740 is a sophisticated, new English garden venue that is located approximately 25 minutes south of Washington, DC in Prince William. Beloved Bel Air is a private 25 acre enclave of spectacular rural beauty nestled in the heart of a bustling urban region with easy access to Uber / taxi service as well as a wide variety of hotels, restaurants, and other services. Because of its beautiful rolling fields, elegant lawns, and lovely English gardens, Bel Air 1740 is a beautiful venue for indoor and outdoor receptions, pictures, and ceremonies. It also has a new Wedding Barn for ceremonies and receptions. The 7000 square foot climate controlled wedding barn has a capacity of 150 guests (with a permit, it may accommodate up to 200+ guests). A wheelchair accessible facility on a single level has been constructed. An imposing great hall with 25 foot ceilings and a cutting edge theatrical sound and lighting system are among the many highlights of the barn. The barn is equipped with two large ready rooms, a huge warming kitchen, and a wide covered terrace that can be enclosed with glass panels and heated during the colder months. Outdoor ceremonies and cocktail receptions can be held in a variety of locations on the picturesque grounds and against the historic Bel Air Manor House background.   Great Marsh Estate's Manor House was built in the 1980s as a historical re-creation of a conventional Georgian manor house. After years of serving as a private property, the transfer to a wedding venue in 2018 seemed logical. While your guests chat on the first floor and the gentlemen play pool in our basement groom's suite, the Manor House 2nd floor rooms provide a wide and lovely backdrop for your morning hair and makeup as a bridal suite. Our famed Georgian Mansion is nestled in over 121 acres of lawn and forest, close to Warrenton and only an hour drive from Washington, DC, with restored period features and illustrious past and charm. Great Marsh Estate's Manor House is your very own unique country house for the day, with a luxurious bridal suite and a peaceful groom's lounge.   Belle Grove is a National Historic Landmark set in Virginia's northern Shenandoah Valley near Middletown. Its Federal-style limestone Manor House, completed in 1797 for Isaac Hite Jr. and his wife Nelly Madison Hite (sister of President James Madison), reflects design principles associated with Thomas Jefferson and features intricate, hand-carved woodwork. The plantation grew from an original 483 acres to roughly 7,500 acres through the labor of enslaved workers, and during the Civil War the property served as Union General Philip Sheridan's headquarters at the center of the 1864 Battle of Cedar Creek. Today Belle Grove operates as a National Trust for Historic Preservation site and the centerpiece of the Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park, welcoming weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties across several distinct settings. The Manor House hosts intimate ceremonies and receptions for up to 40 guests, the restored 1918 Beverley B.   The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley sits on 214 acres in Winchester, Virginia, making it the largest green space in the city and pairing a 50,000-square-foot museum building — designed by architect Michael Graves — with the historic Glen Burnie House and six acres of formal gardens. Glen Burnie House, built in 1794, was transformed into a refined home by Julian Wood Glass Jr. and R. Lee Taylor beginning in the 1950s before the museum itself opened in 2005 to share their collection with the public. For private events, the museum offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to gatherings of different sizes and styles. The beautifully renovated Glen Burnie House, with its formal Drawing Room, Library, and adjacent Terrace, suits an intimate dinner or cocktail reception, with access extended to the surrounding garden rooms.   Winterham Manor is a historic Italianate home in Amelia County, Virginia, built around 1855 by a cousin of Thomas Jefferson and listed on the National Register. Purchased in 1999 after decades of abandonment, the property underwent a full restoration before reopening in 2003 as a bed and breakfast, wedding venue, and special events destination. The grounds sweep down to a 15-acre lake, with 300 acres of nursery plantings rising on the hills beyond. Couples can choose from several ceremony sites on the property, including the Versailles Pavilion overlooking the lake, the Manor House's front porch and facade, the "Lovers' Tree," a 60' x 40' event tent with a central dance floor, or the Manor House itself for weddings of 75 guests or fewer.
