Shadowbrook Restaurant sits on the banks of Soquel Creek in Capitola-by-the-Sea, California, where it has welcomed guests for fine dining and private events since 1947. The restaurant's origins trace to a 1920s log cabin that was discovered, restored over three years, and opened as a 50-seat dining room — growing over the decades to include a hillside cable car (added in 1958), a riverside deck, a wine cellar, and a renovated redwood bar. The venue has been recognized as the "Most Romantic Restaurant" in Northern California by San Francisco Focus readers. For private events, Shadowbrook offers four distinct dining rooms that accommodate gatherings from intimate dinners of 9 to combined receptions of up to 100 guests. The Owner's Private Reserve seats up to 16 guests; the Redwood Room, with its warm redwood walls and views of the chef's herb garden, seats up to 22; the Wine Cellar accommodates up to 37 guests surrounded by the restaurant's wine collection; and the Green House fits 38 to 60 guests in a light-filled space with stained glass windows opening onto the creek-side gardens. East Beach at Calle Puerto Vallarta is an outdoor beachfront event space managed by the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department. Located where Cabrillo Boulevard meets Calle Puerto Vallarta, the venue sits directly on East Beach — flanked by a row of palm trees, the Pacific Ocean, and the colorful Chromatic Gate public sculpture nearby. The open-air, on-the-sand setting accommodates corporate events, luaus, and wedding ceremonies. Amplified sound is permitted by permit, and alcohol is allowed by permit within a renter-provided fenced area. Paid parking is available nearby, and restrooms are accessible adjacent to the site. Reservations are managed through the Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department.

Alpine Ranch, built in the 1980's, was a premier Arabian horse facility, known as Palo Verde, designed as a breeding stable, with 95 stalls, a show barn, 1/4 mile track and formal courtyard. Custom-milled cedar wood and stained-glass windows are still part of the architecture. The 1900's farmhouse, with original stone foundation, was originally the homestead for the largest ranch in what was known as Sonoma Counties' Alpine Valley. Today, Alpine Ranch is a working equestrian barn and vineyard; the Arabian show barn has been converted to an event space and the original farmhouse is a guest cottage. The large equestrian estate is available for a small number of events a year. The property is nestled in the Mayacamas mountain range between Calistoga, St. Helena and Santa Rosa. Your special event can be held in one of their cedar barns, the 13,000 square foot large open courtyard at the center of the equestrian complex, or in what was once the show barn for Arabian horses. Alpine Ranch is a working ranch and vineyard, in addition to being a great place to throw a party. They have horses, hay, rolling fields, and rambling, rustic space under the barn rafters to help make your celebration special and memorable. The farm house, built in the early 1900s, was the homestead for the original Alpine Ranch, which ranged hundreds of acres. At the corner of two idyllic Sonoma County roads, the three bedroom cottage overlooks California Oak trees and horse pastures. A two-night stay is included when you book your event. DeLoach Vineyards offers a variety of experiences to choose from, ranging from small gatherings to large corporate tastings and events. The 21-acre estate, located in the center of Sonoma's Russian River Valley, offers a stunning view of vineyards as well as a quiet environment that is ideal for any occasion, whether it is for two or 500 people. The DeLoach Vineyards team has been working with and developing the greatest mixes of soil, rootstock and clones in Sonoma's Russian River Valley for more than three decades, and they are proud of their accomplishments. After relocating from Burgundy, France to California's Russian River Valley in 2003, the Boisset family brought two generations of sustainable winemaking expertise with them. They planted vineyards on the estate that had just produced Wine Enthusiast magazine's 2004 wine of the year, DeLoach Vineyards' 30th Anniversary Cuvée Pinot Noir, to the Russian River Valley. While the award-winning vineyards were being replanted with cover crops in order to regenerate the soil, DeLoach teamed with other winegrowers who were equally committed to and passionate about environmentally responsible farming practices and the creation of high-quality wines. The winery was recognized as a Top 100 Winery for the twelfth time in the winery's history by Wine & Spirits magazine, which was published in 2012.

The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco (CCC) is a nonprofit arts and cultural organization founded in 1965, occupying 20,000 square feet on the third floor of the Hilton Hotel at the junction of the Financial District and historic Chinatown. Established during the Civil Rights Movement to combat racism and displacement in Chinatown, CCC opened its Kearny Street site in 1973 as a landmark concession to the growing movement in Chinatown around community land use. The center offers three primary event spaces across its main location at 750 Kearny Street: a 299-seat auditorium, a 2,935-square-foot gallery, and the Him Mark Lai Learning Center — making it well suited for large performances and screenings, art-forward receptions, educational programs, and community gatherings. A smaller space at 41 Ross Alley in Chinatown accommodates intimate pop-ups and private events. CCC's programming spans contemporary art exhibitions, thought leader seminars, and festivals including the Chinatown Music Festival and Hungry Ghost Festival. Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center is a 24-acre historic estate managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, located at 23600 Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills. The property was originally the vacation retreat of oil pioneer William Warren Orcutt, and its Spanish Colonial Revival residence — completed around 1926 — features glazed tiles imported from Mexico and carved mahogany and walnut woodwork from the Philippines. The grounds include a seasonal rose garden, a 700-year-old Coast Live Oak, wandering nature trails, a citrus orchard, a rustic barn, a courtyard fountain, and a gazebo. The venue accommodates events for 40 to 300 guests, making it well-suited for weddings, receptions, anniversaries, and private celebrations. Rental facilities are available daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and a guest house with two separate dressing rooms is available for the bridal party. Acoustic music is permitted throughout the outdoor grounds, and DJs may perform indoors. Rentals are coordinated directly through the Orcutt Ranch office. Domaine Carneros is a singular winery best known as a small grower-producer of sparkling wine, Pinot Noir, estate vineyards, and a breathtakingly beautiful château. Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger's search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s.
