Lovely Day is an elegant and industrial large-capacity venue in the Longfellow Neighborhood of Oakland (near MacArthur BART). As a former catering company and restaurant, we have our own expertly-staffed industrial kitchens on site, capable of serving up to 10,000 meals per day at full capacity. We hold an ABC Type 47 liquor license, and are pleased to serve a full bar of cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic mocktails. The main hall, reverently named Carousel, showcased dozens of concerts during its brief operation from 1968 to 1971, including musical legends like the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, and more.
