Founded in 1926, the Tallahassee Garden Club is a historic event venue set within the beautifully preserved Rutgers House, located in the heart of downtown Tallahassee. The Tucker Civic Center has a total of six conference rooms, each of which features completely carpeted flooring, a sound system, and lighting that can be adjusted. The 16,000 square feet of meeting space may be configured in a number of different floor designs to accommodate your particular requirements. The maximum number of attendees that can be accommodated in Meeting Room A is 400 people when the room is set up theater-style, and 350 people when it is set up banquet-style. It is possible to split it into three distinct rooms, designated A-1, A-2, and A-3. Each of our three more intimate meeting rooms, B, C, and D, can accommodate a maximum of sixty people for their respective events. Nestled among oak trees at the entrance to the Los Robles neighborhood, the clubhouse has hosted civic, social, educational, and entertainment events for nearly a century, carrying forward the work of an organization founded in 1903. The main event space features elegant chandeliers, original wood floors that double as a natural dance floor, and a terrace that extends the gathering area outdoors. The clubhouse accommodates up to 200 guests for seated dinners and up to 300 for standing receptions, making it a practical choice for weddings, rehearsal dinners, fundraisers, meetings, and milestone celebrations alike. Mission San Luis is a National Historic Landmark set on 65 acres in Tallahassee, Florida, on the site of one of early Florida's most significant colonial settlements. From 1656 to 1704, the location served as the seat of power for the Apalachee people and the western capital of Spanish Florida, housing more than 1,500 residents including an Apalachee chief and the Spanish deputy governor. Today the site operates as a living history museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and managed by the Florida Department of State. The grounds feature reconstructed 17th-century structures — including a Franciscan church, Apalachee council house, convento, Spanish residence, and fort — alongside an exhibit gallery holding artifacts recovered from decades of controlled archaeological excavation. For private events, Mission San Luis offers the Mission Room, a 4,000-square-foot banquet hall accommodating up to 250 seated guests or 500 for a standing reception, with an adjoining 3,000-square-foot courtyard, warming kitchen, and private restrooms. The Florida Ballroom seats 130 and opens to receptions of 200, while the Plantation Room, Parlour Bar, and covered Balcony — with views of Adams Street and College Avenue — flow together for larger affairs.
