Within our five turn-of-the-century warehouses, The 1896, Studios & Stages houses over a dozen different shooting locations for Photo, Film, Commercials, and Events. Opened in 2008 by sculptor Jen Durbin, The 1896 has welcomed productions and events both small & large for nearly two decades. The site boasts many of its original features, most notably the century-old textured warehouse walls and brick-lined 110' long entrance & promenade, gorgeous skylit warehouses with a 37-foot high clerestory of windows, a 70-foot smokestack towering over Flushing Avenue, a freight elevator with original gear room, and a wrought-iron balcony and fire escape opening onto a brick-lined courtyard. The 1896 with its multiple maze of interconnected and towering warehouses and breakout rooms, both indoor and out, serve as a raw canvas for anything from a stunning Wedding to shape shifting Immersive & Interactive Events and Brand launches, raucous live Concerts blazing til dawn to mud-slinging Fashion Shows and Carnival-themed Birthday bashes. The capacity taps at 274 without permit but swells up to 1200 with a TPA. Positioned inside the North Brooklyn Industrial Business Zone in Bushwick, our parties feel on the edge of nowhere but turn the corner and you hit a dozen taco stands and the Jefferson L. Our vision for this multi-purpose 26,000 square foot filming and event location presented an opportunity to protect this historic block of buildings from the fate of over-development and to preserve it for the arts. Striking a balance between protecting the hard-earned beauty and retrofitting it with all the conveniences and comforts of a modern production studio and event space, The 1896 time worn patina and raw historic charm belie its intimate and personal touch.

The Way Back is located behind Piggyback, the acclaimed restaurant from Chef Leah Cohen. It is accessible from the restaurant or its own private entrance. It’s located just steps from MSG and Penn Station and is close to the Javits Center. The versatile 1,400 sq ft venue can host a wide range of events, including corporate dinners, product launches, pop-up experiences, meetings, birthday celebrations, and cocktail receptions. The Way Back boasts its own private bar and has branding & AV capabilities such as a projector screen, TV, microphones, private music selection, and a DJ booth.

Sunday in Brooklyn is a neighborhood restaurant near Domino Park that cares deeply about what and who we serve. This three-story sun-drenched corner building offers a multitude of experiences for each season and time of day. Gary's Loft has been a New York institution for almost 25 years. Located at 28 West 36th Street in Manhattan, we have three indoor loft spaces and a roof deck with a gorgeous view of the Empire State Building and other midtown landmarks. All of our studios come fully furnished with a variety of decorated home environments. We're available to book for events, still photography and video/film shoots.

We built our space to be unique and original in many ways but also very minimalist and interchangeable. Our tasting room is 1,000 sf and the main feature here. Large windows open onto the sidewalk. Grey and concrete dominate the space, with 2 circular bar. One bar is a food corner with a simple kitchen set up good for food catering, pop ups or the DJ booth! Lights are all dimmable to create different moods. The main feature of the space is the large circular bar with 40 taps behind it and a big circular window that overlooks our production space. On tap we have a large selection of our cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), local beers, spirits and wine. There are 2 restrooms, one with handicap access. There is plenty of seating, bar seats, custom bench and circular tables, all can be moved or removed.

Carroll Hall is a rare and unexpected event space featuring a botanic garden in Brooklyn. We welcome all types of private events, from weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties to art exhibits, performances, corporate functions, fundraisers and film shoots. The space encompasses a total of 10,000 square feet, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor areas. For indoor events, we have an open warehouse space, a skylit indoor catering room, and a private mezzanine lounge. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of our space, created as a quiet retreat among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Tucked in the back of our garden is a discreet wooden "treehouse", perfect for a quiet moment during any event. Carroll Hall and Dameron Architecture were awarded the 2022 AIA New York Design Award Citation for Reclaiming Urban Space. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our very foundation, which uses original bricks and existing ceramic brick walls from the prior warehouse structure, and most of the interior wood is reclaimed. The Jazz Gallery offers a unique space for private events, recordings, rehearsals, business meetings, photo/film shoots, concerts, conferences, seminars, classes, weddings, receptions, celebrations, and functions of all kinds looking to distinguish themselves from the usual offerings. The performance space (1160 Broadway, entrance on Broadway) houses the stage and all performance amenities, a small office, and rest room area. The lounge (1158 Broadway, entrance on 27th street) includes an open lounge area, a large green room/office space, a bar, a refrigerator, and two restrooms (one being ADA-compliant). The Jazz Gallery is located in New York’s historic & bustling NoMad neighborhood; the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park to our south, and the Empire State Building is a few blocks to the north. Nestled in between these two iconic buildings are old merchant stores, exclusive boutiques, and many restaurants and hotels. The Jazz Gallery is located at 1158 & 1160 Broadway, 5th floor.
