The Holden/Marolt Mining & Ranching Museum sits at the western entrance to Aspen, Colorado, on 40180 Highway 82 — a site that once served as the Holden Lixiviation Works silver mill and later operated as a working family ranch through much of the twentieth century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the grounds preserve three distinct eras of Pitkin County history: Victorian-era silver mining, Marolt family ranching, and ongoing interpretive use. The outdoor setting offers a casual, pastoral character with beautiful views toward Red Butte and the surrounding mountains. The venue is available for private events from mid-June through early October, welcoming up to approximately 150 guests on its historic grounds. Tent rental is recommended for summer events given the mountain climate, and a guest shuttle is required as on-site guest and vendor parking is limited. The Aspen Historical Society provides vendor recommendation lists for catering and music, and can arrange barn museum access separately. The Holden/Marolt Museum is operated by the Aspen Historical Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Roaring Fork Valley.

The Wheeler/Stallard Museum is a Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion built around 1887–1888 by Jerome B. Wheeler, situated on the only complete city block in Aspen's West End. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the grounds feature Shadow Mountain views and pristinely manicured landscaping maintained by the Aspen Historical Society, which has stewarded the property since 1969. The grounds accommodate up to 200 guests and are available for private event rental from Memorial Day through early October. The sweeping outdoor setting — spanning an entire city block — suits tented receptions, outdoor ceremonies, and private celebrations of all kinds. Catering and music vendors require Aspen Historical Society approval, and tent rental is recommended given summer weather patterns.
