The property centers on the Secret Garden — a lush outdoor ceremony space featuring a spring, swing, altar, benches, and garden furnishings — alongside the 5,000-square-foot, air-conditioned Paradise Spring Pavilion for indoor receptions. Couples may book the Secret Garden alone or take the entire estate, which adds the Villa for up to three nights of on-site accommodations for up to 20 overnight guests. As a bring-your-own-vendor venue, Paradise Spring gives couples full flexibility to select their own caterers, DJs, photographers, and other vendors. The property centers on the 1931 Burrows-Matson House, a Mediterranean-influenced mansion listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the Sarasota County Historic Register, set against a backdrop of ancient oaks, sweeping bayfront lawns, and open water views. The preserve accommodates weddings, private parties, corporate retreats, board meetings, and community events across several distinct outdoor and indoor settings. The Great Lawn hosts tented receptions for up to 285 guests, while the Bayfront Lawn seats up to 175 for waterfront dinners. The historic house provides intimate indoor space for smaller gatherings, with a bridal suite and separate groom's cottage available to wedding parties. The 1927 Historic Venice Train Depot is a National Register-listed Mediterranean Revival landmark in Venice, Florida, designed by the New York architectural firm Walker & Gillette and opened March 27, 1927. Restored by Sarasota County in 2002-2003, the building retains its original yellow stucco exterior, arched arcades, gently sloping red tile roof, and a 400-foot platform that once welcomed famous passenger trains including the Silver Meteor and Orange Blossom Special. Today the Depot serves as home to the Venice Area Historical Society Museum and offers three distinct rental spaces for private events: the Freight Room, the covered north-end platform, and the deck behind the historic 1974 Louisville & Nashville caboose. The campus also includes a restored 1953 Pullman Standard circus car, the Rollins W. Coakley Railroad Park, and direct access to the Legacy Trail and Venetian Waterway — an unusual setting that gives outdoor gatherings a sense of open, park-like space. The Hilliard Mansion is a historic event venue in Hilliard, Florida, housed in a century-old home built from salvaged oak, cypress, and heart pine. The current structure was constructed in the 1920s under the direction of Dr. Cole Cleveland Fuqua, Sr., who sourced reclaimed timber from an earlier building on the property. Original oak flooring, cedar-lined closets, and hand-carried heart pine beams remain intact throughout, giving the mansion a character that reflects its long history. The property was opened as a wedding and event venue after the current owners recognized a shortage of suitable facilities in the area. The facility accommodates up to 200 guests and includes a uniquely designed outdoor ceremony pavilion with a gazebo, paved brick aisles, and a patio, alongside an air-conditioned reception hall pre-decorated with white lights and tulle. Tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, breakdown and cleanup services, and WiFi are included in all rentals. The venue is handicap accessible and offers flexibility for couples to select their own vendors and arrange their own setup.
