Lovely Day is an elegant and industrial large-capacity venue in the Longfellow Neighborhood of Oakland (near MacArthur BART). As a former catering company and restaurant, we have our own expertly-staffed industrial kitchens on site, capable of serving up to 10,000 meals per day at full capacity. We hold an ABC Type 47 liquor license, and are pleased to serve a full bar of cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic mocktails. Amplified music is allowed late at our venue. — We wanted a place where you could dance with your best friend to that one song from college. A place where you could light sparklers while shooting off confetti cannons. A charming space to spend time with people, have some great food and tasty cocktails. A member of the beloved Rustic Canyon Family of Restaurants, Cassia showcases a truly unique balance of soulful, ancestral cuisine with a California sensibility by utilizing the best quality ingredients from local farmers. Located on the ground floor of Santa Monica’s historic Telephone Building, a 1937 Art Deco landmark, this multifaceted environment was designed so that even the semi-private areas capture a communal spirit and the timeless enjoyment of food and friends. The airy, 5,000-square-foot space features high ceilings and polished and textured concrete walls, floors, and columns to showcase the beautiful rawness of the building. Nestled in the hills of Sunol, surrounded by vineyards and gardens, is Elliston Vineyards. As guests drive up the quiet road to Elliston Vineyards, they are greeted with the impressive site of our Neo-Romanesque mansion, while our staff awaits their arrival at our wrought-iron gates. Garden-style ceremonies are held outdoors alongside our historic stone mansion in a garden brimming with native ora including an expansive lawn and gazebo. Vineyards and wine barrels surround the ceremony, while a gorgeous hundred-year tree provides shade for guests. A short walkway takes you to our Terrace Room, a secluded banquet room set into the hillside. Cocktail hour is enjoyed on the outdoor patio. As guests enter; servers are passing delicious hors d’oeuvres and champagne, providing guests a chance to dine al fresco. A Victorian gazebo on the deck is large enough for a lounge area or a quartet of musicians to serenade partygoers. Our love story began many moons ago, when Carolyn offered Robin a scotch and soda (which Robin hates) at a friend’s going away party and he gladly accepted.
