A total of 150 guests may be accommodated at tables in the venue, which has lots of natural light and hardwood floors. A cocktail hour or a check-in area can be held in the lobby of the hotel. The Historic DeKalb Courthouse, which is located in Decatur, Georgia, only minutes away from Atlanta, is the ideal location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fund-raisers, and other special events. You will have the perfect setting for your historic event with the marble walls and wonderfully arched windows. The Foxglove hosts private parties, gatherings, weddings, and receptions and was born out of a desire to see a magnificent old building repaired and revitalized while adding something new and interesting to the square. We've done everything we can to maintain faithful to the building's character and history, including keeping the original brickwork, steel-framed factory windows, and industrial overhead beams. The Foxglove and 131 LeFleur, located at 54 Atlanta Street, are conveniently placed walking distance from the historic Marietta Square. Champagne toasts in the garden courtyard, canapés under the sweeping draperies, and dancing under the original steel beams overhead. The Foxglove oozes the historical ambiance inherent to its Marietta Square setting, having been thoughtfully built with respect for the building's unique charm. The details have an exquisite, slightly industrial sense to them. Founded in 1836 as Georgia Female College, Wesleyan holds the distinction of being the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women — a history that gives the campus its particular character as a setting for celebrations. For private events, the college offers an unusually varied collection of spaces: Anderson Dining Hall seats up to 350 beneath a vaulted ceiling with large arched windows; the grand Porter Auditorium accommodates 1,124 for concerts, ceremonies, and theatrical productions; Oval Hall in the Candler Alumnae Building brings ornate moldings and parquet flooring to receptions and luncheons for up to 250; and Pierce Chapel, opened in 2015 on a knoll overlooking Foster Lake, seats approximately 300 for weddings and memorial services, with a lower-level reception area for around 70.
