The space accommodates up to 150 guests and comes set up with ten 72-inch round tables and two 8-foot rectangular tables, along with a dance floor, a full-service kitchen, a bridal suite, and a flat-screen TV. A spacious deck and gazebo extend the clubhouse onto the water's edge, giving evening events an illuminated outdoor gathering spot alongside the indoor hall. Dinner and dancing can also be held inside the artistically and stylishly decorated ballroom, which features Italian marble tiling. The Waterfront Event Center can host that special party, meeting, retreat, or gala for your business or organization, thanks to its vast spacious decks and ballroom. Our renovated barn's chandelier-lit breezeway is a vast and majestic entrance, yet intimate and welcome for you and your guests. From the time you walk in, you can see the pond. The Reception Hall is entered through a wide entryway with gift and cake tables. When the weather permits, a fire can be lit in the stone fireplace at the far end of the Reception Hall. A spacious deck is accessible from the Reception Hall. The Flying M Bar serves your favorite beverages in the Reception Hall and on the balcony. All of the guest rooms have excellent views of the pond. The breezeway, Reception Hall, Flying M Bar, and deck are all under the same roof as the dining service area for buffet style meals, the bride's private dressing room and restroom, and the men's and women's restrooms, making everything easily accessible and handy for your guests. Our grounds and building are handicapped accessible. Our interior design is rustic yet elegant, making it suitable for both casual and formal events. The 1859 Ashton Villa was the first of Galveston's great Broadway mansions, and today its elegantly restored interiors make a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, and private celebrations. The Italianate residence anchors a piece of the island's architectural history while offering the practical amenities a modern event requires. At the heart of the villa is a spacious Grand Ballroom, added in the 1920s, which accommodates up to 250 guests standing or 200 seated with a dance floor. Galveston Island Palms is an outdoor garden venue on Galveston Island offering more than 29,000 square feet of landscaped grounds, anchored by a 2,500-square-foot pavilion with dimmable lighting and a garden pergola for ceremonies. The setting suits outdoor weddings with ceremony and reception options, as well as family reunions, graduations, anniversary and corporate parties, and other outdoor gatherings that call for a large space with plenty of amenities. The venue is built around a do-it-yourself approach: couples and planners can bring in their own preferred vendors for food, music, entertainment, and decor, or choose from the venue's vendor referrals. The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center occupies a 32-acre beachfront property on Galveston Island, and has held the AAA Four Diamond Award since 1999. The resort's grounds sit atop the former Fort Crockett, a coastal defense installation established in 1897 whose eight-foot-thick concrete walls form part of the property's foundation; one of the fort's original gun emplacements now supports the resort's Gulf-view wedding gazebo, and another anchors a swimming pool. The San Luis name itself predates the resort by centuries — before 1783, explorers referred to Galveston Island as San Luis, a piece of island lore the resort carried into its own name. Event spaces include the Grand Ballroom, which accommodates up to 500 guests for weddings and receptions, and the more intimate Mainsail Salon. The Tremont House is a historic hotel in Galveston's Strand Historic District, tracing its roots to a Galveston institution dating to 1839. The current building, once the Leon & H. Blum Building, was constructed in 1879 and restored by George and Cynthia Mitchell in the early 1980s, reopening in 1985 as the first major hotel to open in downtown Galveston in sixty years. Today the hotel offers nearly 17,000 square feet of flexible event space across eight venues, accommodating gatherings from 8 to 800 guests. The Tremont Ballroom, on the upper level of the historic Davidson building, features 14-foot ceilings and access to a balcony overlooking the Galveston Mardi Gras arch, while the Royal Room offers exposed brick and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on historic downtown. The 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA is a square-rigged iron barque, restored in 1982 and now a floating museum that still actively sails — one of only three ships of her kind in the world to do so. Berthed at the Galveston Historic Seaport, she is a National Historic Landmark and the Official Tall Ship of Texas, a symbol of the Gulf Coast's beginnings as a seaport that welcomes more than 40,000 visitors each year. For private events, the ship and museum site offer a romantic waterfront setting, with moonlight silhouetting the masts. Guests have access to ELISSA's decks, galleries, officers' quarters, and galley — used as a serving area or bar — along with the museum's pier, galleries, and restrooms. The site accommodates up to 500 guests across the ship and museum, or 300 for a seated dinner on the pier, making it well suited to weddings, receptions, and social gatherings. Moody Mansion is a 28,000-square-foot, four-story historic home in Galveston, completed in 1895 for the Moody family and restored to its turn-of-the-century splendor. Designed by British architect William H. Tyndall and decorated by New York's Pottier & Stymus, the mansion has been a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark since 1967 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1994. Beyond its daily house-museum tours, Moody Mansion hosts weddings, galas, and fundraisers within its historic rooms.
