Hosting an event here at The Stables of Rolling Ridge is a fantastic way to get to know the farm and its surroundings! Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, birthday parties, corporate retreats, and social gatherings can all be held in the luxury of the countryside at one of the outdoor event sites! Reservations for the farm are accepted from April through November on Sundays through Fridays. The tented reception venue is available for events with a maximum of 60 participants. The price of the reservation includes a tented event venue as well as furnishings for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Beautiful handcrafted wooden ceremonial benches and farm tables are among the furniture options. Prepare for a smaller celebration such as an intimate wedding, elopement, baby shower or birthday with a smaller guest list. Up to 25 guests can be accommodated in the floral shop above the barn, or a workshop-style celebration with Rolling Ridge Floral Design is an option. Workshops and floral shop reservations are available all year round, as are seasonal workshops. Any farm event would benefit from having a favor table in the form of a workshop! Rolling Ridge Farm and Homestead is a family-run farm and homestead. The site is closed to the general public and only available for activities that have been scheduled in advance. Private tours can be planned on a Sunday through Friday basis, depending on the farm's scheduling. Laurel Park Racecourse has served as Maryland's premier Thoroughbred racing destination since the Maryland Jockey Club — the nation's oldest sporting organization, founded in 1743 — began racing operations at the site. Richland Golf Club is a 174-acre golf and event property set in Middletown Valley, Maryland, about 10 minutes from Frederick and 35 minutes from the Washington, D.C. Beltway. The Rick Jacobson-designed, par-72 championship course provides a scenic backdrop of rolling countryside and the Catoctin Mountain Range. The Vistas is the club's dedicated event venue, housed in a French country-style clubhouse. The Other Barn is perfect for small or large gatherings and festivities. We will work with you to satisfy all of your needs, whether it is for a social event or a business conference. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, our venue is open for an outdoor wedding ceremony and celebration. Monday through Thursday, the location is available for smaller parties, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, and non-wedding activities. The Loft is a place where you can go to The Loft, which was once the barn's hayloft, still has its original wooden high beam ceilings and a new all-wood floor that allows for a choice of set up types. Enter the Loft via the iconic silo stairwell and take some one-of-a-kind shots. The area is warm and inviting thanks to the earth tones and maple seats. The Courtyard is a flower-filled courtyard adjacent to the Smithy/Tack Room that provides the perfect background for your special day. The Courtyard is a great place for photos and for people to relax and enjoy some fresh air. For an additional cost, white, fan-backed chairs would be provided for your wedding guests. Tack Room/Smithy This fully carpeted room, located on the main level, is excellent for meetings and small groups. Cocktails can be served in the Smithy/Tack room prior to your reception. The cows used to enter the barn through the large glass doors that look out onto a flower-filled courtyard. A Wedding Designed by You The Other Barn in Oakland Mills, which has recently been refurbished, is a large celebration venue with rustic charm. Originally a dairy barn, it now offers a one-of-a-kind, sophisticated but welcoming ambience that is ideal for commemorating life's milestones. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, The Other Barn is perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony and celebration. Monday through Thursday, the facility is available for small gatherings, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, and non-wedding activities. You are welcome to bring in your own licensed caterer. A full kitchen, a large ice machine, and ice chests are available at The Other Barn. The tables and chairs are set up and taken down for you. You furnish the tablecloths, which are then placed by you, your designer, or your caterer. A comfortable wedding suite is ideal for the bride's last-minute touch-ups. A trained staff ensures a seamless event while providing an exquisite setting for your big day. Large dance floors, head tables, and bars can accommodate up to 300 guests in the magnificent ballroom and the romantically exquisite barn. Both venues are air-conditioned. The terraces and lawns provide for a seamless transition between the indoors and the outdoors. At the foot of Catoctin Mountain and conveniently located along Rt 15, Springfield Manor is an unmistakably prominent historic mansion that should not be missed. The Manor, which was built in 1774, can accommodate huge formal events as well as small intimate parties, and it also has eight luxurious apartments for overnight guests. The rebuilt bank barn serves as the tasting room for the Winery, Distillery, and Brewery, as well as a gathering spot for special events. Springfield Manor is a 130-acre estate that lies atop its own limestone aquifer, which generates the trademark Limestone Spring Water after which the estate was called. Grapes, lavender, corn, and hay are among the crops now being produced. Springfield is home to a thriving apiary with 35 hives in operation. On the farm, you can see a diverse range of wildlife including hawks and falcons, white-tailed deer (including mule deer), groundhogs, turkey, and even a black bear. Acres of mature trees dot the landscape, along with one-of-a-kind specimens such as the Buckeye and Linden trees, which were imported from Germany centuries ago. The Liriodendron is a historic Georgian Revival mansion in Bel Air, Maryland, built in 1898 as the summer residence of Dr. Howard Atwood Kelly, one of Johns Hopkins Medical School's four founding physicians. Designed by the Baltimore architectural firm Wyatt & Nolting and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the estate sits on more than 100 acres of wooded grounds and is now operated by the nonprofit Liriodendron Foundation as a cultural and events destination. The mansion accommodates up to 120 guests for weddings, social gatherings, and corporate events. Indoor spaces include a dining room with a working fireplace and chandelier, a center room with double doors that open to a terrace, and a music room with hardwood floors suited for dancing. Outdoor ceremony options include a wisteria-draped trellis, two large porticos, and boxwood and flower gardens. A bridal suite and a separate groom's room are available for day-of preparation. Rentals include Chiavari chairs, white lawn chairs, and tables in a variety of shapes and sizes. The venue maintains an approved list of experienced caterers for all events.
