This prominent and dignified lumber barn needed to be restored for a new purpose. The vision was to create a space where neighbors could pick up a latte on the way to work, stay for a few hours online, or stop by for a craft cocktail in the afternoon. The building also serves as a bespoke venue, specially designed to suit a variety of events. The Podium is partnered with a food and beverage team to bring the best experience to our guests. We are regularly open as an upscale coffee house and bar and are available for private event rentals. The kitchen area features a movable island bar, a 65" TV, and connects to a 50' outdoor deck that looks over the 3-acre backyard. An ADA bathroom is just off the kitchen. It is tucked away in a convenient location between Austin, San Antonio, and Bastrop. Camino Real Ranch is steeped in agricultural tradition despite its recent founding in 2019. The farmhouse on Camino was constructed in the 1940s, when the land was being used as a pig farm. The property was purchased by Mike and Vanessa Torres, who had been neighbors on the Camino de Santiago and became good friends with the previous owners. They started Heart of Gold Farm and then bought our breathtaking greenhouse from a rose farm that was located in Smithville. They started cultivating organic vegetables to help others who were less fortunate and to provide food banks in the central Texas area. They were responsible for the property's charming appearance, having constructed the Quonset Hut and furnished the farm with traditional and genuine tipis from Oregon. They brought their gorgeous new family to this area, and it was in the Quonset Hut that their son Walker learned to walk for the very first time. His cute little hand prints may be found imbedded in the concrete of our backyard patio.

Elmwood Gardens is a lushly gorgeous two-hour trip from downtown Dallas and features charmingly idyllic gazebos, fountains, greenery, and fauna. A wedding party of up to 300 people can be accommodated at this location. Couples can choose from a variety of beautiful wedding sites at Elmwood Gardens. At this location, there are four ceremony-specific sites. There is a Wedding Walk, where couples walk down the aisle to a garden gazebo beneath the beams of a rustic wooden structure.
