The Queen Anne Victorian home that was built in 1899 and is known as the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House is considered to be the most preserved of its kind in the region. This exquisite Victorian masterpiece of a little over 5,000 square feet was constructed by English architect Howard Messer for Galveston widow Mrs. George Ball (Sarah) and her son Frank in 1899. The home was built high on a hill overlooking the Trinity River. At a time when the typical cost of a dwelling was between $2,000 and $4,000, the construction of the house came to $38,000. The house has had just three different families live in it over its entire existence, and it has seen very few changes since it was first built. There are towers, gables, copper finials, a slate tile roof, and a porch made of red sandstone and marble on the late Victorian facade. The elegant interior has its original wood mantles, cornices, paneling, coffered ceilings, and parquet flooring. The McFarland House was declared as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1979, as well as Fort Worth's second Historic and Cultural Landmark in 1980. In 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1980, it was certified as such by the state of Texas.

Wedding Chapel Our wedding chapel, also known as the Hambrick Chapel, was built in 1857 as part of the Roseland Plantation grounds. The interior was entirely restored after a fire in the 1950s, with air conditioning and heating, excellent lighting, ceiling fans, and historical stained glass windows and pews. The Roseland Plantation Wedding Chapel is the ideal location for your dream wedding. We are convinced that your wedding will be one to remember at our chapel. Ballroom Around 1850, the Roseland Plantation Ballroom served a plantation near Mineola, Texas. The building, with its pine and parquet wood flooring and large columned front porch, was moved to Roseland Plantation in the 1950s to serve as a pool house for her guests. A restroom, a full kitchen with a private caterer's door, and an enclosed sun porch were constructed. The ballroom can accommodate 120 guests for a buffet or hors d'oeuvre reception and 60 guests for a sit-down dinner. The extra-large front porch increases the amount of seats available. Roseland Wedding Chapel is a popular wedding destination in East Texas because of its distinctive wedding accommodations and bridal chapel. This design creates a one-of-a-kind country wedding setting that caters to all age groups.

The Marquardt Ranch is a family-owned wedding venue in Boerne, Texas, set on land the Marquardt family has held since the late 1800s along the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country. Dru Marquardt designed and built the venue by hand on the property's bluff, hosting the first wedding there in 2007; his wife Jessica, who leads the venue's floral design, now runs it day to day. The ranch comfortably hosts weddings and events for 10 to 250 guests, with a maximum of 310, and includes an outdoor ceremony area along the river as well as bride and groom dressing suites. Couples may use the riverbank for first looks, bridal portraits, and engagement photos, though guest access to the water is reserved for those sessions rather than the wedding day itself. Opened in 2006 and owned by the City of McAllen, the estate pairs a 1930s adobe home with the surrounding sanctuary's birding trails and native plant gardens. Flexible seating areas give the room the feel of a grand Texas ranch house living room. The LDR flows directly out onto a river patio, transforming into an al fresco setting for private groups and events, and accommodates 150 to 500 guests. For larger receptions, the venue connects to The Grotto, a River Walk space beneath Bridge Hall with trees, foliage, and a waterfall, which can host up to 2,500 guests directly along the river. The Manor holds up to 160 guests indoors with a dance floor and can expand beyond 200 when the celebration flows out onto the patio and lawn.
