The property has been passed down through generations — originally cultivating tobacco, now growing soybeans, corn, and sunflowers — and that agricultural heritage gives the setting a genuinely rural character that's harder to manufacture. The venue accommodates up to 130 guests inside the heated and air-conditioned barn, or up to 150 guests with an outdoor dance floor. Schooner Liberté is a 77-foot, three-masted staysail schooner offering sailing excursions on Vineyard Sound from Falmouth Harbor, Cape Cod. Custom-built in 2001 and annually inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard, the vessel is certified to carry up to 49 passengers on morning, afternoon, and sunset sails throughout the summer season. Liberté's design draws from the Hout Bay 70 by naval architect Dudley Dix, adapted for passenger service with a three-masted staysail rig that allows for easier sail handling and greater flexibility under varying conditions. A full onboard bar and spacious deck round out the experience for guests. The schooner is available for private charter and accommodates a range of occasions — weddings, corporate outings, birthday parties, bachelorette celebrations, and family reunions. The property interprets colonial life and the history of the enslaved people who sought and fought for their freedom, and it is recognized on both the National Underground Network to Freedom Trail and the War of 1812 Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. For private events, the venue offers a lighted patio tent available from May through October. The 30-by-60-foot tent accommodates up to 125 guests and is large enough to hold a dance floor, buffet tables, bar, and live music. Sidewalls are available in the event of inclement weather.
