Hotel Belleclaire is a Beaux-Arts landmark hotel on Manhattan's Upper West Side, opened in 1903 and designed by architect Emery Roth in a distinctive blend of Art Nouveau and Secessionist style. The building received a landmark designation from New York City's Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1987 and completed a multimillion-dollar restoration in 2023 that returned it to its original splendor with modern conveniences throughout. Early guests included Mark Twain, Maxim Gorky, and Babe Ruth. For private events and meetings, the hotel offers three venue options: the Allure Lounge, a 1,560-square-foot space with a 17-foot marble bar, crystal chandeliers, and a skylight ceiling for up to 100 guests; the Broadway Room on the 10th floor, suited for 5 to 60 guests with state-of-the-art AV capabilities and natural light; and the Presidential Suite, an intimate setting for up to 10 guests. As part of our current fundraising efforts to promote our non-profit, we are renting out our Community Center for events. Our large, open space is perfect for a variety of occasions. Pioneer Works is a 501c3 non-profit that presents programs, public events, artist residencies, and classes — 85% of which are free and open to the public — across the disciplines of visual art, science, music, technology, and narrative arts. Pioneer Works offers unique, scalable spaces and a 20,000-square-foot garden that can accommodate a wide variety of events: from large-scale build outs, conferences and dinners, to film shoots, screenings and intimate receptions. Income generated by rentals goes directly back into supporting our programs, public events, artist residencies and classes. Rental fees ranging from $10,000 - $38,000 are daily rates for 8am–1am. Overages are subject to an additional hourly fee. Non-profit organizations receive a 20% discount off our standard rental pricing. Pioneer Works is a multi-functional space.
