The building itself is a work of art: a 1987 sister-city gift from Dushanbe, Tajikistan to Boulder, its hand-carved cedar columns, Persian-painted ceilings, and eight exterior ceramic panels depicting the Tree of Life were crafted by more than 40 Tajik artisans working entirely without power tools. Koenig is conveniently located, has roomy, meticulously maintained gardens, and offers views of the Flatirons. It is tucked away on the corner of CU's lovely campus. The location is perfect for a variety of life celebrations, including weddings, rehearsal dinners, graduations, retirement parties, retreats, and memorial services. All CU Boulder alums are eligible for a 10% rental discount. A fantastic location for getaways and business gatherings is the Koenig Alumni Center.
