The Wheeler House is a historic wedding venue set on a restored 1906 property in Ball Ground, Georgia. The original home — built by a local lumber yard owner using heart pine flooring and wraparound porches — was purchased and fully renovated before reopening as a wedding venue in 2011. A climate-controlled barn was added in 2012, its exterior clad in reclaimed lumber salvaged from the old Panama City pier and airport runway, giving the space a distinctly storied character. The venue accommodates events from intimate micro-weddings to celebrations of up to 300 guests. The 3,600-square-foot barn serves as the primary ceremony or reception space, while a draped outdoor arbor hung with chandeliers and string lights offers an open-air ceremony option. The historic house provides a bridal suite with an original claw-foot tub, a groom's suite, and a billiards room. Onsite cottage accommodations are available for overnight guests. Lightner West, who built the historic home in 1900, and the Milford family, who have lived here since the 1930s, are the namesakes of West Milford Farm. West Milford Farm is a multi-award-winning event venue conveniently located in East Cherokee County, just north of Milton. The Barn at Tatum Acres is a 75-acre farm venue tucked into the North Georgia mountains near Big Canoe, about an hour from downtown Atlanta. The property began as a family farm — Doug Tatum famously closed the deal on a napkin with a one-dollar bill — and was transformed into an event destination under the creative direction of interior designer Lynda Tatum, who designed the barn using timber harvested from the land itself. The centerpiece is a rustic-modern red barn with white trim, built from trees felled on the farm, that blends authenticity with a polished aesthetic. The Crescent Farm Historical Center, often known as the Rock Barn, is a beloved Cherokee County landmark built by Augustus Lee Coggins in 1906. When the barn was being restored, the goal was to make this historic area available to the public. This rural site offers weddings and gatherings all year. The outside is the same as it was when it was first erected in 1906, with unusual stone walls made from Etowah River rocks. The attractive interior has been tastefully refurbished to make it suited for parties while maintaining the stable's historic integrity. This stunning room will create a sophisticated background for your ceremony and reception, with exposed stone walls, polished concrete floors, and gorgeous wood accents. While the structure itself can comfortably seat 120 people, tents can be placed up on the lawn to expand the space. It all started with a plot of land, a friendship, and a sketch of a barn design on the back of a Chick-fil-A napkin, among other things. Holly Hill Manor's owners, Christie Bagwell and Mike Ware, have worked tirelessly to transform the property into the stunning North Georgia wedding location it is now. The location is located on 33 acres of meadows and hardwoods, just a few miles off Highway 515 in Talking Rock, Georgia, and can accommodate up to 500 guests. The 8,000 square foot indoor event venue is completely climate controlled and has a floral bar, a huge heated kitchen, private facilities, and a magnificent bride and groom suite, among other amenities. Our facility can accommodate 300 people for a sit-down dinner and 400 guests for a standing reception. Our goal is to create a foundation canvas in a place that can be transformed from modern-chic to southern elegance to fit any style preference or requirement. For large families and unique celebrations, Holly Hill Manor is a fantastic site. As an alternative to renting out restaurants or hosting a party at your home or workplace, you can have access to an 8,000 square foot area that can be customized to suit your needs and style. In addition, we have a large heating kitchen, which serves as a specialized space for caterers to prepare food for the event.
