The Mill Valley Community Center is located in Southern Marin County, just 6.6 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and 7.2 miles south of San Rafael. The Community Center opened its doors in April 2001. Our award winning facility offers a perfect environment for any occasion, with a main event space that can accommodate banquet-style seating for up to 285 guests and theater seating for 400. Smaller rooms, throughout the Center are ideal for classes, meetings, workshops and seminars. The Outdoor Art Club, which is located in downtown Mill Valley, is a private, non-profit women's organization that was established in 1902. Its 35 founding members, who were inspired by the "City Beautiful" urban design movement of the 1890s, set out to promote the civic value of public parks and natural outdoor spaces in Mill Valley. Today, our members continue to advocate for conservation and open space preservation, as well as supporting the cultural arts and other civic endeavors that contribute to the vitality of the Mill Valley neighborhood. Participation in the club is only possible through sponsorship by an existing member. The clubhouse of the Outdoor Art Club, designed in 1904 by renowned architect Bernard Maybeck, is a National Historic Landmark and has been designated as such. It is available for public use on a rental basis. Private events can be held at the Outdoor Art Club, which can be rented out. The rental rates for Saturdays in 2022 are $6,000, and the rates for Fridays and Sundays are $5,000. The rental rates for Saturdays in 2023 are $6,500, and the rates for Fridays and Sundays are $5,500. Prices are subject to change without notice. Before renting a room, you must take a tour of the club with a docent. Tours are only available on Saturdays between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and they must be scheduled in advance. The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak is a golf course wedding and event venue set on the grounds of Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek, California. The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center (Osher Marin JCC) is a full-service community and event venue set on the Lonee C. Hoytt Jewish Campus at 200 North San Pedro Road in San Rafael, California. Founded in 1948, the center occupies an 80,000-square-foot facility and has served Marin County for over seven decades as a gathering place for people of all ages and backgrounds. The JCC's event spaces accommodate gatherings from intimate receptions to large-scale celebrations. The signature Hoytt Theater seats up to 275 guests at tables or 400 in theater-style configuration. Smaller spaces — including the Kurland Lounge, Pell Atrium, and Isaacs Gallery — host gatherings of 30 to 70 guests, while the outdoor Upper Courtyard seats up to 90 guests and accommodates 200 in a standing layout. The venue has hosted weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, galas, grad nights, and live performances. Rental packages include JCC tables and chairs, setup and breakdown, and on-site event staff. The vast Magnolia Terrace, located just east of the blue-and-white palace, is Maple Lawn's crowning achievement. It is a true jewel in the crown of the garden. Following a winding path through an ornate iron gate, the first thing that meets you is a profusion of brightly colored, blossoming hedges. A elevated, canopied patio lies just ahead, and going out beyond it is a wonderfully beautiful grass, which is flanked on three sides by mature magnolia and camellia trees, which adds to the tranquility of the setting. A wide brick promenade runs right through the center of the field, and it is embellished with two multitiered fountains, each of which is crowned with dramatic statues of Greek goddesses.
