Summerour Studio is an expansive, refurbished warehouse located in Atlanta’s exciting Westside, where the city’s industrial past frames many destinations for design, dining, and style. This wonderfully unique building is the main studio for Summerour & Associates architecture firm. Updated in 2005 by renowned architect Keith Summerour, the building was previously the home to Preston Rose Printing, and had been in various uses since the 1920s. The roof over the 8000 square foot main space is supported by massive bow trusses, which allow the wide, open floor plan to be free of columns or supports. Revealed through a wall of windows that runs the entire length of the space is a breathtaking skyline view of Atlantic Station and Midtown. For events held at Summerour Studio, Novare Events provides full beverage service, including barware, glassware, and staffing. Summerour Studios has an exclusive in-house caterer. Bold Catering & Design will handle all of your food service and catering needs.

​This historic property is located on the edges of Kirkwood and Edgewood. It’s been home to history, innovation, film projects and now your good times! Originally built in 1904 by Pratt Engineering, this location was used for the production of fertilizer bombs during WWI. Later it was used to develop and patent liquid carbonated gasses, which was then purchased by The Coca-Cola Company while it was still a start up. The Pullman Company Purchased the property in 1926, expanded it and gave it its iconic name. Pullman was renowned for luxurious rail travel across the country, and used the site to repair passenger and cargo cars. The Pullman company was also one of the largest employers of African American men during segregation: The Pullman Porters. These men formed the nation’s first African American labor union affiliated with the American Federation of Labor: Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and Maids. Founded by civil rights activist A. Phillip Randolph, the union aimed to improve the working conditions and treatment of African American railroad porters and maids employed by the Pullman Company across the country. As travel by rails died down, the site was abandoned becoming a popular destination among not only local street artists, but as a filming location. In 2017, the site was purchased by Atomic Entertainment, who have redeveloped the site as an “entertainment destination of the south” serving as a creative and cultural focal point. This has ushered in a new era for the site with the advancement of film and television productions such as Hunger Games, Fast and Furious, Baby Driver and Bad Boys 3. Now that the Pullman Yards is open and operational, our aim is to bring fun, arts and culture to the neighborhood, the city of Atlanta and all its surrounding areas. Pullman is host to rotating exhibits, two on-site restaurants, and Emory’s Science Gallery.

It can accommodate 16 to 35 guests for lunch and supper at hand-crafted round tables, and the area can be reconfigured to accommodate both professional private dining and smaller parties. Visitors can take use of the grounds for a standing reception prior to their function if the weather is warm enough. The Paces Space is equipped with an 80" flat screen monitor that is incorporated into the room and is HDMI compliant, which may be used for presentations. Canoe’s Wine Room is the ideal spot for smaller, more intimate celebrations and gatherings. The private room seats 10 to 18 guests at an impressive rectangular handcrafted wooden table that was built into the space. The interior of the room blends wood, brick, and ironwork with vintage-select, handcrafted wines, creating a warm, rich, inviting ambiance for our guests. In warmer weather, guests can enjoy and peruse the gardens for a standing reception prior to their event. The Wine Room is also equipped for presentations, with a specially fitted screen on-site available for rent. Canoe’s covered patio offers guests unparalleled views of the Chattahoochee River and surrounding manicured gardens. The patio can accommodate private dining groups of 15 to 20 guests at either one or two long wooden tables. Canoe’s River Garden offers a picturesque backdrop that will elevate any occasion. The River Garden can accommodate 40 to 140 guests for special occasions, corporate events, or rehearsal dinners. For weddings we can accommodate 50 to 140 guests. The tent is positioned on brick pavers and it’s interior features a tent liner, chandeliers on dimmer switches and pole curtains. Canoe provides fans for cross-ventilation during the warmer months and clear sidewalls and heaters on thermostats for the colder months. Live entertainment is permitted, DJ or band, and there is a noise restriction for entertainment at 10:00 p.m.

Step aboard, and be served from an ever-fresh menu of oysters, clams, and other sea-fare ordered before it hits the dock, along with things that make no sense until you taste them — Mexican corn, udon, kimchi, hamburgers, Korean-style chicken. Wash it down with good wine, good beer, or maybe some like Tea-juana Punch. “Oh, try this,” she said. “Oh, try this,” I said. We drank strong drinks. The sun sank, and the low Inman Park buildings glowed in the yellow light. It seemed everyone was out. A crowd inside the ship laughed loudly, and we noticed the putt-putt lighthouse. After the meal, we descended below deck past a wall screening “Jaws” to what appeared to be someone’s basement circa 1977. We were served by stewards in orange. The warm wood paneling. The tiki candles. The photos of Farrah and Leif. A DJ spun records. There was a rotary telephone on a coffee table, and I picked it up and dialed the phone number I had when I was kid. Someone answered, and for a moment I thought I was talking to my past.

Bold Monk Brewing Co. serves as a welcome reprieve from the bustle of downtown, allowing guests to refresh their spirits, sharpen their wits, and reconnect with old and new acquaintances in a warm, eclectic space where traditional meets modern and worlds merge. The Bold Monk pays homage to humanity and all of its beautiful contrasts with a restaurant, brewery, library, coffee shop, and beer garden. It's a location where people may get together to celebrate the art of life. The Salon, right beyond Bold Monk's oak paneled entry, is an atrium-like gallery room with a wall of windows, soaring ceilings, and a vast collection of paintings on its walls. Its 360-degree bar, handcrafted alabaster tables, and beer garden bench-style seating encourage conversation and gatherings of all sizes, making it ideal for receptions. Luxurious lounge seating, a modern bookstore, family-style tables, and a second bar are all available at The Abbey. The Beer Cellar is a small, low-lit dining space with comfortable booth seating, encircled by exquisite brickwork and a cedar panelled ceiling, only steps below the Salon. The Beer Cellar is a secondary area with limited seats that may be coupled with any other Bold Monk venue for an event.

After more than two decades in business, Bacchanalia has gained a well-deserved reputation as Atlanta's most recognized restaurant. Since its inception in 1993, the restaurant has continuously received high ratings as one of the city's best restaurants. Bacchanalia is a modern American restaurant that serves light and innovative foods created by Chefs/Owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, as well as a culinary staff directed by Jonathan Kallini. Organic products, many of which come from Anne and Clifford's farm, Summerland, are used only in Bacchanalia's seasonal menu, which ensures that every meal is a fresh and memorable one.
