Cooks & Soldiers draws its inspiration from the people and the cuisine of the Basque Country in Spain and France. The Spanish call it Pais Vasco; the Basque say Euskal Herria. Regardless of nomenclature, it stands for thousands of years of fierce independence, cultural autonomy, and unrivaled cuisine. Pintxos are the Basque answer to tapas. From the word for “thorn,” a Pintxo is traditionally served on bread, pierced with a toothpick. Pintxo Bars represent the casual, convivial aspect of Basque dining, where guests order for the table over a glass of Txakoli (crisp, slightly bubbly Basque wine) or tart Basque cider. Pintxo Bars are loud, vibrant and celebrate the joy of companionship and conversation over the formality of coursed dining. Cooks & Soldiers seeks to recreate this environment with our Pintxos Tradicionales, served on toast, and our Pintxos Especiales, composed expressions from our chefs. The Asador, on the other hand, is a wood-fired grill, elevating the simple yet divine combination of olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoke. At Cooks & Soldiers, our Asador is the centerpiece of our kitchen where whole meats and seafood are grilled over hot coals. These larger asador dishes are designed to be enjoyed communally, accompanied by a variety of fire roasted vegetable offerings.

Whether you bring your own vendors, shop a la carte or take advantage of our full range professional services, you have come to the right place. Located in the heart of Roswell, the venue is located 2 miles from Hwy 400 and offers easy access to parking and after party options. Built in the 1800s to serve the Smith Cotton Plantation, the building eventually served as Roswell’s Library. The new owners renovated the building in 2011 exposing brick walls and beams, adding a higher ceiling, a polished concrete rustic floor and a spacious loft overlooking the elegant room. Whether you opt for casual comfort, exquisite elegance or that corporate formal look, flexibility to design and bring in your own vendors and décor is key to make it your special event.

A wedding ceremony, reception, bar/bat mitzvah, or rehearsal dinner at the Trolley Barn is the perfect setting for your next event. The magnificent brick patio, which is surrounded by lush vegetation, will leave your visitors speechless. The inside of The Trolley Barn boasts 30 foot ceilings and timbers that date back to 1889. The barn's wood floor is ideal for dancing, and it can be decorated in any way you like. In order to provide a change of pace The Trolley Barn, located only two miles east of Atlanta's central business center, is the ideal location for your corporate event or meeting. Large enough to separate into multiple regions for presentations, team-building exercises, break-out sessions, or anything else your firm is attempting to accomplish in this space. Located off the main hall is a vast bricked terrace, which serves as an architectural highlight of the structure. The patio is surrounded by plants and features an outside bar, which makes it a great setting for cocktail hour in the evening. Tucked on the West Marietta bend in the Howell Station Neighborhood, The Dogwood at Westside Paper is a quick ride to Georgia Tech, Blandtown, The Works, the West Midtown corridor, Midtown Atlanta, and the Downtown Atlanta attractions. The terraced front entrance leads into the curated pre-function and ballroom. Bathed in calming neutral tones, the space is flooded with natural light leading into the ballroom equipped with room-dividing curtains. The Dogwood at Westside Paper is ideally suited for an array of gatherings including galas, holiday parties, weddings, awards dinners, corporate events, and social gatherings.

While you're enjoying beer, wine, and handcrafted cocktails, The Optimist will transport you to your favorite seaside haunts with dishes such as hickory-roasted fish and raw oysters, as well as beach-food favorites like as hush puppies and lobster rolls. Our light-filled, semi-private dining space is ideal for hosting business events such as receptions, showers, and celebrations, as well as birthday parties and other social gatherings. We are able to close The Optimist to the general public for you if you are hosting a wedding or other fully private event. Our Oyster Bar Private Dining Room can accommodate up to 16 guests, who will be seated at two parallel tables in the room. The area is filled with natural light and is decorated in a seaside style.
