The Newton Conference Center at Georgia Piedmont Technical College sits on the Newton Campus in Covington, Georgia, 25 miles east of Atlanta off Interstate 20 at Exit 92. The facility offers more than 4,700 square feet of flexible meeting and event space across five rooms, accommodating groups as small as 12 and as large as 450 for theater-style events. The center's signature space is the Atrium, a 2,200-square-foot room featuring a winding staircase, marble foyer, soaring ceilings, and white columns — a setting well-suited to weddings, receptions, and special celebrations. A separate Banquet Room and prefunction area handles seated dinners and receptions for up to 315 guests, while breakout rooms and a glass-walled boardroom round out the facility for corporate and meeting-focused events. All spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art AV systems, wireless internet, and easy access for catering. The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers complimentary parking on site. The conference center serves corporate events, job fairs, class reunions, educational forums, and weddings, with in-house and outside catering both available.

Newton County Parks and Recreation is a public recreation department serving the residents of Newton County, Georgia, centered around the 158-acre Turner Lake Complex in Covington. The complex features a 34,000-square-foot building alongside a 26-acre lake, offering a full range of recreational programming, sports facilities, and rentable event spaces for groups of all sizes. The department's primary event space, the Turner Lake Banquet Room, accommodates up to 250 guests and comes equipped with round and rectangular tables, chairs, a podium, sound system, projector screen, and a kitchen prep area with a refrigerator, warming rack, and ice maker. An outdoor patio and lawn area are accessible directly from the room. For smaller outdoor gatherings, pavilions across multiple county parks — including Turner Lake, Trailblazers, Denny Dobbs, Spring Hill, Beaver Park, and Dinah Pace — are available for daily rental with picnic tables, grills, and electricity. The Georgia International Horse Park served as the official equestrian venue for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games — hosting the equestrian competition, mountain biking, and the final events of the modern pentathlon — and continues to operate as one of the region's most versatile event facilities. Spread across 1,400 acres in Conyers, Georgia, the park has been recognized as the Official Best Outdoor Venue in Georgia and offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces suited to everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale festivals. The park's primary venues include the Grand Prix Stadium and Plaza, which seats up to 8,000 with a maximum capacity of 17,000 guests; the Charles Walker Covered Arena, capable of accommodating 4,500 for concerts and social events; the Exhibition Center, a 30,000-square-foot multipurpose hall ideal for trade shows, expos, and exhibitions; and the Carriage Room, a 3,750-square-foot banquet space overlooking the park's Courtyard for weddings, receptions, and corporate dinners. Burge Plantation is a historic 1,000-acre farm in Mansfield, Georgia, situated about 45 minutes east of Atlanta. The property centers on a home built in 1921 and has served as a private hunting, shooting, and family club for generations, offering the traditional charm of its storied past alongside modern facilities and services. Weddings and private events take place across several settings on the property. Ceremonies are held on the front steps of the Main House, beneath the stately oaks in the front yard, in the formal garden, or on the croquet lawn. Receptions follow in and around the elegant Burge Conservatory — a 1,800-square-foot space with an adjoining covered terrace, both of which can be heated or cooled for year-round comfort. Paula's Porch, a converted barn adjacent to the shooting range, provides a more rustic setting with 2,000 square feet of space. The Lodge accommodates smaller gatherings, and surrounding lawns and gardens offer additional outdoor options. The venue includes two cottages reserved for the wedding party, tables, chairs, linens, and other essentials, and draws on a farm-to-table approach to catering with organic herbs and vegetables grown on the property. Burge Plantation accommodates events from April through October.
