The farm, originally used as a dairy farm, was in the same family for generations until 2019. The farmhouse was built in the late 1800's, rebuilt in 1921. Mountainside Events is a private event venue set on 115 acres of farmland and forest in Urbana, Maryland, minutes from I-270 in Frederick County. The property's mix of wooded landscape and open grounds provides a natural retreat backdrop for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, and custom celebrations. The venue offers three distinct event spaces — a rustic barn, an enclosed 40-by-60-foot event tent, and a newly constructed event building — that can be booked individually or in combination for groups of up to 175 guests. A 20-by-40-foot auxiliary tent, along with tables and chairs, is included with all rentals. Mountainside operates as a non-exclusive venue, giving couples and planners the freedom to bring their preferred vendors. Hidden Brook Winery is a family-owned winery set in a custom log cabin surrounded by a peaceful forest in Loudoun County, Virginia. Built by owners Eric and Deborah Hauck in 2000 with the help of family and friends, the winery opened in September 2001 and is one of the original ten wineries established in Loudoun County. The first vines were planted in 1998, and the Haucks' favorite varietals include the French-American hybrids Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin, crafted with an Italian approach that yields softer-tannin, fruit-forward reds. Nestled in a grove of shady pine trees, the winery offers a cozy, relaxed atmosphere both indoors and out. The grounds include seating on the front porch, picnic tables along the lawn, a gazebo, and two fire pits, while the open-concept log cabin interior features high ceilings, natural log walls, a fireplace, and a full bar.
