My Little White House is a 170 square foot boutique up-cycled studio that is located in a private garden in the West Seattle neighborhood of West Seattle. It was built primarily out of salvaged materials and vintage finds. The Little White House is a little studio that I built out of reclaimed materials and things that I found in dumpsters. It is 170 square feet in size. I didn't even consider constructing a white house or a small house when I came up with the idea. Simply put, I desired a location where I could build a fire during the colder months... Initially, it was only 10 feet by 10 feet, but over time, it expanded, the ceilings got higher, and it evolved into what it is today... People are drawn to the White House, in my opinion, due to the fact that a lot of its furnishings were salvaged from dumpsters or were things that previous owners had thrown away because they no longer wanted them. I believe that the Little White House breathes new life into all of those things in some sense... At the very least, that is what compelled me to construct it. It was the concept of turning things that were thrown away into something attractive and intriguing by giving them a second life in the form of something else entirely.

L'Oursin

Wild Ginger has occupied the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street in downtown Seattle, across from Benaroya Hall, since 2000, when founders Rick and Ann Yoder moved the restaurant from its original home below Pike Place Market into a building that once housed a vaudeville theatre. The space was designed by NBBJ, and its basement later became home to The Triple Door, the music and performance venue that opened in 2003. The kitchen draws on recipes gathered from Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, served family style so guests share dishes across the table, alongside a wine program the restaurant treats with the same care as its food menu. For private dining, the downtown location offers the Lion Room, Dragon Room, Mezzanine Lounge, Union St. Dining Room, and a set of four configurable Mezzanine Rooms that combine to seat up to 64 guests. Jenne Farm With Whidbey Island Weddings

Built in 1908 by Edward Jenne, a German immigrant and Coupeville resident, the Jenne Farm cluster took shape as a house, barn, summer kitchen, workshop, and granary, all raised from a single barge-load of wood. Jenne grazed sheep and worked some of the highest per-acre wheat yields of his era on the land. The farm later passed out of the family, and in 2000 new owners purchased the property with the goal of preserving it as a working farm; by December 2002, Jenne Farm had become part of Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve. Located one mile south of Coupeville and surrounded by 140 acres of crops, forest, and scrub, the property offers sweeping views of farmland, prairie, or water from every window and the wrap-around porch of the 1908 farmhouse. The grounds accommodate outdoor weddings and reunions for up to 125 guests, and the farmhouse itself — with four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, fireplace room, and parlor — is available for multi-night wedding weekend stays as well as shorter vacation getaways.
