The California Golf Club of San Francisco, more commonly referred to as "Cal Club," was established in 1918. Its first location was in Ingleside, which is situated to the south-west of San Francisco, on land that was leased from the Spring Valley Water Company. The water company was unable to provide the club with a long-term lease, so in 1924, the club purchased approximately 425 acres of land further down the Peninsula. The land was originally a part of Baden Farm, and because of its undulating hills, wooded terrain, and stunning vistas of the bay, it was a natural choice for the location of a championship golf course. Willie Locke and A. Vernon Macan were brought on board by the members to assist in the design of the initial routing, which was first implemented on May 26th, 1926. After some time had passed, Alister MacKenzie would come back and redesign the bunkers as well as at least two of the greens, just before he began working at Cypress Point Club. Kyle Phillips spent 2007 and 2008 bringing the golf course back to the design and grandeur it had during its "golden age." The restoration work done by Kyle Phillips required the use of fine fescue grass, and the playing conditions on the course are unmatched anywhere else in Northern California due to their speed and firmness. Fort Point Historic Campus on the Bay occupies a cluster of historic Coast Guard buildings on the northeastern shore of the Presidio, at the mouth of San Francisco Bay. The campus — formerly the Fort Point Life Saving Station — dates to 1890 and includes the Officer in Charge Quarters, the Lifeboat Station (1915), and the Pier & Tide Gauge Station (1935). Today it is managed by the Greater Farallones Association under a long-term agreement with the National Park Service within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Florin East Grammar School is a historic community facility at 8383 Florin Road in Sacramento, California, operated by Southgate Recreation & Park District under a lease agreement with Sacramento County. The building traces its origins to 1913 and served as an active school through 1952, earning a distinctive place in the local community's history. The state of California granted the Monterey Peninsula Country Club a charter in 1925. A month later, the newly constituted club conducted an organizational meeting, at which Samuel F. B. Morse was elected president. The Monterey Peninsula Country Club had 68 original members. The new country club officially opened on July 2, 1926, with about 300 people in attendance. The club properties cover around 400 acres of land in the Monterey Peninsula's central section. After the members purchased the club from Del Monte Properties in 1959, Bob E. Viaggio Estate & Winery is a Tuscan-inspired private estate set on 23 acres in Acampo, California, in the heart of Lodi wine country. The property borders the Mokelumne River and is surrounded by estate vineyards and walnut orchards, offering an Italian resort-style setting for weddings and special events. The estate's name — "Viaggio," meaning "journey" in Italian — is inscribed above the gated archway that welcomes guests onto the grounds. The estate has hosted events since 2012 and accommodates indoor and outdoor celebrations, from intimate ceremonies to large receptions. Event options include the La Vita Bella ballroom, an outdoor riverside lawn, an olive tree-lined courtyard, and a tasting room patio. In-house catering is available, and the venue's events team works with clients to customize packages for each occasion.
