Almost all wedding ceremonies are held outside, unless otherwise noted. Depending on the number of guests attending, small ceremonies can take place in indoor spaces. We have a number of locations on the farm where we can provide overhead coverage if necessary. Tent rental from third-party vendors may be required as additional coverage. We have some recommendations for caterers, musicians, and bartenders, but we do not require the use of an exclusive list for any of these services. We will gladly collaborate with the vendor of your choice. Bella Vita requires that all ceremonies and large celebrations be covered by liability insurance for the entire day of the event. We offer wedding packages starting at $3500 for MicroWeddings and $5000 for weddings with more than 50 attendees. All of this includes the use of 12 round tables and 100 white chairs, as well as a dress rehearsal the day before the event. Wedding rehearsal dinners on the farm are a wonderful way to kick off the wedding festivities. Consider it a pre-party to the Big Day, held in a more intimate setting with your bridal party, close friends, and family members before the big day. The location for a couple's big day is a gorgeous brick mansion perched over a rolling golf course. This country club is located near Frederick, Maryland, about 50 minutes from Baltimore and 65 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C. for couples. At Holly Hills Country Club, couples can invite up to 175 guests to their wedding. This mansion's magnificent and traditional decor is ideal for a romantic ceremony, a joyous reception, or simply charming wedding photography. Large windows and beautiful wood burning fireplaces can be found throughout this area, which is ideal for couples. The venue's verdant lawns and golf course allow for beautiful ceremony and photo locations. A trained staff ensures a seamless event while providing an exquisite setting for your big day. Large dance floors, head tables, and bars can accommodate up to 300 guests in the magnificent ballroom and the romantically exquisite barn. Both venues are air-conditioned. The terraces and lawns provide for a seamless transition between the indoors and the outdoors. At the foot of Catoctin Mountain and conveniently located along Rt 15, Springfield Manor is an unmistakably prominent historic mansion that should not be missed. The Manor, which was built in 1774, can accommodate huge formal events as well as small intimate parties, and it also has eight luxurious apartments for overnight guests. The rebuilt bank barn serves as the tasting room for the Winery, Distillery, and Brewery, as well as a gathering spot for special events. Springfield Manor is a 130-acre estate that lies atop its own limestone aquifer, which generates the trademark Limestone Spring Water after which the estate was called. Grapes, lavender, corn, and hay are among the crops now being produced. Springfield is home to a thriving apiary with 35 hives in operation. On the farm, you can see a diverse range of wildlife including hawks and falcons, white-tailed deer (including mule deer), groundhogs, turkey, and even a black bear. Acres of mature trees dot the landscape, along with one-of-a-kind specimens such as the Buckeye and Linden trees, which were imported from Germany centuries ago. Crown Rose Estate Distillery is a 76-acre historic estate in Knoxville, Maryland, combining working distillery operations with a full-service wedding and private event venue. Set on rolling farmland with meadows, an English rose garden, a pond, and a paddock, the property offers a pastoral backdrop well suited to ceremonies and celebrations. The centerpiece event space is a classic barn that seats up to 200 guests for receptions and dinners. Couples who want a dance floor alongside up to 160 seated guests can keep it within the barn; larger parties above 160 can add a tent to extend the footprint. A typical booking runs 10 hours — enough time for setup, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception — and couples choose their own start and end times within that window. Ostertag Vistas is a 164-acre historic farm property tucked in a quiet valley near Myersville, Maryland, 15 minutes from both Frederick and Hagerstown. The grounds include three landmarked structures dating to 1711 — among them a circa-1700s stone pioneer home with a water wheel and a mid-1700s log cottage built by early German settlers — alongside rolling hills, a farm pond, streams, and meadows that attract blue herons, bald eagles, and migrating geese. The centerpiece of the property is a carefully restored 18th-century German Swiss bank barn, known as The Barn. Its 50-foot ceiling, original mortise-and-tenon timber frame held by wooden pegs, three stone fireplaces, and large glass panels looking out over the 164 acres make it the focal point for weddings and receptions. The Barn accommodates up to 200 seated guests and includes a bridal suite, groom's room, five restrooms, a loft stage, and a small museum — with barn doors that open to the surrounding landscape.
