  Wesleyan College occupies a 200-acre wooded campus in north Macon, Georgia, on the National Register of Historic Places, built around a central quadrangle of Georgian Revival architecture that traces to 1928. Founded in 1836 as Georgia Female College, Wesleyan holds the distinction of being the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women — a history that gives the campus its particular character as a setting for celebrations. For private events, the college offers an unusually varied collection of spaces: Anderson Dining Hall seats up to 350 beneath a vaulted ceiling with large arched windows; the grand Porter Auditorium accommodates 1,124 for concerts, ceremonies, and theatrical productions; Oval Hall in the Candler Alumnae Building brings ornate moldings and parquet flooring to receptions and luncheons for up to 250; and Pierce Chapel, opened in 2015 on a knoll overlooking Foster Lake, seats approximately 300 for weddings and memorial services, with a lower-level reception area for around 70. The location is located on 33 acres of meadows and hardwoods, just a few miles off Highway 515 in Talking Rock, Georgia, and can accommodate up to 500 guests. The 8,000 square foot indoor event venue is completely climate controlled and has a floral bar, a huge heated kitchen, private facilities, and a magnificent bride and groom suite, among other amenities. Our facility can accommodate 300 people for a sit-down dinner and 400 guests for a standing reception. Our goal is to create a foundation canvas in a place that can be transformed from modern-chic to southern elegance to fit any style preference or requirement. For large families and unique celebrations, Holly Hill Manor is a fantastic site.   Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The Historic Pace House was built from the remains of the 17-room antebellum home of Vinings founder Hardy Pace. The house served as General Sherman’s temporary headquarters where he planned the siege of Atlanta. After the Civil War, Hardy’s son, Solomon Pace, returned home to find the family home in ruins. Sometime around 1870, Solomon rebuilt the home – albeit more modestly- from doors, windows and remnants of several small cabins that survived the fire of the main house. Today The Pace House consists of a parlor, a dining room, and a bridal suite which can be used as a private retreat for the bride and her attendants or event host. This modest frame house has a sense of history so tangible that you feel it from the moment you enter. Adjacent to The Pace House, The Old Pavilion, itself a Vinings landmark, was a place where old Atlanta Society entertained and danced the night away during the late 1800s and until the early 1900s.   In 1904, 550 Trackside was developed as a Cotton Warehouse. It's been called The Langley General Store, The Mercantile Exchange, A Feed and Seed Company, the Grinder, and the Goldkist Building over the years. Our venue, which first opened its doors in 2008, was designed exclusively for unique gatherings. The high ceilings of 100-year-old rough-hewn wood, archways, chandeliers, furnishings, and attention to detail preserve and maintain the authenticity and charm of the turn of the century. 550 Trackside was built in 1904 as a Cotton Warehouse and is made of Stone Mountain granite. We refurbished, restored, and designed the venue before it opened in 2008 to be a place where people can congregate, connect, celebrate, and create memories.
