Our property boasts breathtaking views of Mount Yonah and the valley that was once used by early settlers to access the mountain. We have no doubt that they were taken in by the same splendor that we were! In recent history, the property was home to the Sautee Nacoochee Vineyard, which was one of the first wineries in north Georgia. Tourists came from all over the country to sample the wines and learn more about the 1.5-acre vineyard. They also enjoyed live music in the amphitheater, as well as the breathtaking views and refreshing breezes provided by the mountains. The grape vines are still there, and we are in the process of reopening this once highly sought-after destination. For us, the Estate is much more than a piece of real estate; it is a vacation destination. The 6.5 acres are ideal for small intimate groups who want to use a few venues, as well as larger groups who want to make use of the entire property.   The Barn at Ross Farm is an indoor and outdoor barn wedding venue on 67 acres of working farmland in Cohutta, North Georgia — centrally located about 10 miles from Chattanooga, Cleveland, Chatsworth, Ringgold, and Dalton. Now celebrating its 12th season, the farm was designed from the ground up to host weddings in a setting that is rustic, beautiful, and functional. The main structure is an all-wood barn with 7,000 square feet of cement floor, heated and air-conditioned throughout, with attached pavilions, a breezeway, and shed porches that allow guests to move freely under shelter. Exposed rafters, rough-sawn wood walls, lantern lighting, a stack stone fireplace, and an antique buckboard wagon give the space its distinctive character. Outside, pristine meadows, a spring-fed pond with a lighted fountain, and views of the North Georgia mountains provide the backdrop for ceremonies at three dedicated sites: The Meadow, The East Lawn, and The Fireplace Room. Packages at Ross Farm include use of the Bridal Cabin — a fully appointed dressing suite with a sleeping loft, kitchenette, and two bathrooms — along with a climate-controlled Groom's Quarters. The Farmhouse, a separate lodging structure that sleeps eight, is available for overnight bookings on event weekends. The venue accommodates up to 150 guests.

Conley Creek's Wedding Chapel is the ideal old country church. It's at the end of a winding dirt road at the base of a rolling meadow, nestled in a woodland grove of century-old oak trees. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time when you walk through alder wood doors onto pine floors and are surrounded by rough sawn mill paneling. The Conley Creek Event Barn is the ideal location for any gathering of family and friends. It's a beautiful mix of luxury and country charm, with high wooden truss ceilings and warm wood walls creating a vast, yet snug and inviting area. Each side of the barn has glass French doors that can be left open to create a pavilion atmosphere and enable North Georgia Mountain air to flow through while also enlarging the room if needed. On the further end of the barn, there is a grass lawn where you may hold a wedding ceremony, seat guests for an outdoor lunch, or simply play cornhole with pals, and the lawn can be lit up for activities after dark. In the 1820s, the MARY GAY HOUSE was built in Decatur, Georgia, and it is now a historic landmark. Mary Ann Harris Gay, the home's most renowned resident, is commemorated in the house's name (1828-1918). The Southern novelist is most known for penning Life in Dixie During the War, a first-person account of the American Civil War that was published in 1865. Mary Gay recalls a series of daring activities, including her treks beyond Union lines to acquire food and clothes for women and children in war-torn Decatur, which she describes in her book. Several of the world's greatest authors have been influenced by Mary Gay's writings, including Margaret Mitchell, who used some of her poetry to construct settings in Gone With the Wind and Mark Twain, who used some of her poetry in Tom Sawyer.

  The Swan House Gardens

Designed by Philip Trammel Shutze in 1928 for Edward and Emily Inman, Swan House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This Atlanta landmark is versatile enough to host a dinner party or act as a pre-function space for the Grand Overlook ballroom. Consider adding a costumed interpreter that will perform historical character narratives. Edward Inman was heir to a large cotton brokerage fortune amassed after the Civil War. He was an Atlanta businessman with interests in real estate, transportation, and banking. His wife Emily was involved in philanthropy, politics, and society. In 1924, they hired the architectural firm of Hentz, Reid, and Adler to design a house for their property in Buckhead, a residential suburb of Atlanta. Noted architect Philip Trammel Shutze designed Swan House and its gardens, as well as many other important buildings in the city. He adapted Italian and English classical styles to accommodate 20th-century living for Swan House, which many consider his finest residential work. Emily lived in Swan House until her passing at age 84 in 1965. In 1966, the Atlanta Historical Society purchased the home and most of its original furnishings, ranging from 18th-century antiques to 20th-century objects. It opened to the public in 1967 as a house museum and headquarters of the Atlanta Historical Society. Formal gardens surround and showcase the 1928 historic mansion. Reminiscent of great Italian gardens, it is perched on a hill with a cascading fountain, terraced lawns, roses tumbling over stone walls, and clipped hedges. An intimate boxwood garden and formal motor court complete the landscape, making this one of Atlanta’s best-known and photographed sites. The lawns can accommodate 50 to 750 guests. Because Swan House is a historic house museum, parties and receptions are not allowed inside the mansion, but your guests can tour the mansion for a few hours during your event.
