The Speedway Club occupies the fifth and sixth floors of Smith Tower at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, with views across the 1.5-mile superspeedway from nearly every event space. The club positions itself as one of the world's most unique entertainment venues, offering over 13,000 square feet of flexible event space across eight distinct rooms and areas — from the intimate 255-square-foot Chairman's Room with its chef's table to the 6,200-square-foot Ballroom with a permanent dance floor. Eight spaces accommodate groups from 10 to 450 guests, with configurable floor plans suited to corporate functions, weddings, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, and social events. In-house catering menus can be customized for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher needs, and specialty cakes may be brought in with prior approval. The 1932 Barn stands on century-old Hodge's Family Farm in Charlotte, North Carolina, where a thoughtfully preserved historic barn offers a refined rustic setting for weddings and private celebrations. The Main Barn seats up to 150 guests beneath soaring vaulted ceilings and statement chandeliers, providing a warm, character-filled reception space. The property's distinct areas give the day natural shape: The Meadow is an open-air ceremony space centered on a landmark oak tree; The Courtyard is a covered cocktail area with gazebos and options for lawn games and a bonfire on cooler evenings; and the Main Barn anchors receptions with its historic character and soft interior lighting. Dedicated get-ready suites for wedding parties are available on-site. The Oaks Events is a private lakeside venue set on 100 acres of farmland in Midland, North Carolina, located just outside Charlotte. The property centers on a four-acre lake surrounded by mature oak tree canopies and open landscaped grounds, offering a setting that works equally well for rustic-chic celebrations and more formal affairs. The Gazebo Ceremony Area sits directly on the lake, featuring high natural wood ceilings and scenic water views — with seating for more than 300 guests. For receptions, the 4,000-square-foot Pavilion is a fully enclosed, climate-controlled space with a chandelier over the dance floor, café lighting throughout, and a front patio with a firepit overlooking the lake. A dedicated catering prep room and restrooms are included within the Pavilion space. The on-site Event House sleeps up to 10 guests and includes a bridal suite, three bedrooms, a billiards room, and two sitting areas with fireplaces — making it possible to host a full weekend celebration without leaving the property.

Our award-winning whiskey is maturing in barrels that line our private event space. The speakeasy atmosphere and the prominence of our own aging whiskey barrels have gotten rave reviews from our visitors. Any whiskey enthusiast would be greatly attracted to the space's aesthetic. We can either cater any event ourselves or, for a small fee, hire a caterer from outside our business. The number of bartenders included in your room rate depends on the number of people in your party. Access to our entire barrel room privately, complete with a full-service bar and a Smart TV for sharing presentations and slideshows! Leather chairs and couches with cushions are available in The Barrel Room. In addition to beer and wine, a full bar is available with craft cocktails showcasing our handcrafted spirits. SMS Catering Atrium is a full-service event venue and catering company set on 8½ acres in Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally the home of Dr. Ralph VanLandingham, the property features graceful verandas, centuries-old oak trees, and lush gardens that create a distinctive backdrop for weddings, corporate events, and philanthropic celebrations. The estate accommodates up to 300 guests across its indoor and outdoor spaces, including a garden ceremony area, a patio well-suited for cocktail receptions, and a 50' x 82' tented reception space that functions as a customizable blank canvas. The indoor floor plan seats approximately 150 guests and includes dedicated areas for a dance floor, band, gift table, wedding cake, and bar. Best Impressions Caterers — established in Charlotte in 1989 — serves as the exclusive on-site caterer, coordinating food, beverages, and equipment rentals for every event. The McGill Rose Garden is a historic outdoor wedding and event venue on the edge of Charlotte's NoDa Arts District. The garden traces its origins to the 1950s, when Helen McGill began planting rose bushes along the fence line of the Avant Fuel and Ice Company her husband Henry had purchased. By the time the garden opened to the public on Mother's Day 1967, it had grown to include more than 500 rose bushes across two acres. Today the property is a City of Charlotte municipal park, and Rosie's Coffee & Wine — operating from the on-site brick building since 2019 — manages event bookings and offers a café and wine bar experience within the garden setting. The venue hosts intimate weddings and private events for up to 100 guests on Saturdays from late April through early November. Farm tables and chairs are included with rental, and the venue maintains partnerships with a network of vetted vendors to support couples through the planning process.

Founded in Charlotte in 1991, the Levine Museum of the New South has spent more than 35 years doing something genuinely rare: telling the full, honest story of the American South - not a sanitized version, but the complicated, diverse, and often difficult history that actually shaped the region. Long before inclusive curation became standard practice, the museum pioneered exhibitions and programs created with, for, and about the communities it serves. Its landmark exhibition "Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers" traced Southern history from Reconstruction through the twentieth century. The work earned national acclaim: in 2005, Levine Museum received the National Awards for Museum and Library Service, the field's highest national honor, presented at the White House, and the American Association for State and Local History's most prestigious recognition for state and local history interpretation. Every year, the museum hosts free, festival-style Family Days honoring Dia de Muertos, Three Kings Day, Martin Luther King Day, Juneteenth, and HERstory — public celebrations drawing thousands of Charlotte families into the story of their community.
