Set within James Madison University's 125-acre woodland sanctuary in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum is a public garden and forested greenspace with 3.5 miles of trails, marking 35 years as a regional landmark. The grounds are free and open to the public from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year, and include features such as a newly renovated labyrinth and an outdoor StoryWalk trail. The arboretum hosts weddings and private events across several distinct settings. The Lawn overlooks a pond with seasonal garden blooms and holds up to 200 guests standing, while the Ernst Tree Terrace offers a more private setting with a seasonal fountain, pergola, and granite table overlooking the lower gardens. Cross Keys Barn LLC is a renovated, 100-year-old bank barn on a third-generation Liskey family dairy farm in Rockingham County, Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Known as "The Venue with a View," the barn sits about 10 minutes outside Harrisonburg and looks out over open farmland toward the Massanutten Peak and Blue Ridge Mountains. Inside, the original barn wood and siding remain intact beneath a 28-foot cathedral ceiling, exposed beams, and a finished oak floor, with windows and glass doors along the east side bringing in natural light and mountain views. A deck off the back of the barn extends the space outdoors, and additions built during the barn's renovation added a bridal suite, a groomsmen's dressing area, and modern restroom facilities. The barn seats up to 200 guests in its main event area and holds up to 250 for standing events, with indoor or outdoor ceremony locations available and only one event booked at a time for exclusive use of the property. Cross Keys Barn hosts weddings, corporate events, birthday and anniversary parties, family reunions, and nonprofit gatherings each year from April through November, with tables, chairs, and on-site staff support included with every booking.

Packsaddle Ridge Golf Club is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course set in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, about 15 minutes from downtown Harrisonburg. Open to the public, the club welcomes both members and daily-fee golfers with discount and full membership options, along with tee times available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. until dusk. Rounds are played with EZGO gas-powered golf carts across the course's 18 holes. CrossKeys Vineyards is a family-owned estate winery on 125 acres in Mt. Crawford, Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, about 15 minutes from Harrisonburg. Its Tuscan-style villa looks out over the estate's own vineyards toward Massanutten Mountain and the Blue Ridge, on land the Bakhtiar family first planted in 2001; the tasting room opened in 2008 pouring 100% estate-grown Virginia wine. The property takes its name and crossed-keys symbol from the historic Cross Keys Tavern, a 19th-century gathering place that also served as a place of healing for wounded soldiers during the 1862 Battle of Cross Keys — a nod to hospitality the estate carries into its weddings and private events today. Weddings and private events draw on the villa's mix of indoor rooms and outdoor terraces, courtyards, and a piazza, with onsite gourmet catering, a dedicated event manager, and professional event staff. Cave Hill Farm Bed & Breakfast occupies an 1830 manor house in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, built by an Englishman over three years on land granted to the Hopkins family by King George II in 1759. The property takes its name from a natural cave near the guest parking area that once supplied fresh water, and its 10-room manor features brick walls up to 15 inches thick, made from clay fired on-site. Over nearly two centuries the farm has operated as a vineyard, dairy, poultry operation, and grain farm, and has run as a bed and breakfast since the early 2000s. Five guest rooms — the Bridal Room, Grandmother's Room, the Gold Room, Uncle Charlie's Room, and Aunt Emma's Room — each offer a queen bed, private bathroom, electric fireplace, WiFi, and television, along with country and mountain views. The property also hosts private events, offering its downstairs kitchen, dining room, two living rooms, and front and back lawns, with sweeping mountain views as a backdrop for gatherings ranging from intimate to large. In the heart of the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, the property is located in Stanley, Virginia, just a short drive from Washington, DC. The property is available for immediate occupancy. The mountains of Shenandoah National Park are our neighbors, and we are also fortunate enough to have the Shenandoah River bordering our property. Several attractions outside of the National Park are available in Page County, which is also known as the "cabin capital of Virginia," so finding lodging is rarely a problem. [Please see our vendor page for more information.] We are a new venue that is currently undergoing renovations in order to make the barn as accommodating as possible for all of our guests. A bridal suite and storage space will be added to the main level of the barn. Restrooms, a kitchenette, and a bridal suite storage area will also be added to this level. River Road is a family-owned farm that has been in the Painter family for several generations. When Cody and Jessica announced their engagement, they knew they wanted to include their family farm in their wedding celebrations. It had taken several long weeks of renovations, but they were finally able to enjoy having their family and friends come together for the event. A perfect September day provided the setting for their ceremony along the south fork of the Shenandoah River, followed by a reception in the big red barn at the venue. After that day, it was clear that this beautiful property should be enjoyed by more people than just the family who had purchased it. Stable Craft Brewing at Hermitage Hill traces its roots to Hermitage Hill Farm and Stables, founded in 2006 as an operational horse farm where Tennessee Walkers were bred and trained on a property built around a 288-foot barn. The founders transformed the farm into an event venue for weddings, receptions, private parties, and corporate gatherings, and played a role in the Virginia legislation that helped establish agritourism in the state, all while preserving the rural landscape of the Shenandoah Valley. The historic barn has since been renovated into a reception venue that blends rustic architecture -- hand-hewn beams and timber crafted with local artisans -- with heating, air conditioning, and a professional sound system. The property has grown into a destination brewery and cidery alongside its wedding and event business, adding on-site guest suites, a taproom, and an agri-pub style restaurant. Private event spaces include the Saddleback Ballroom, which seats up to 200 guests for weddings and receptions; the climate-controlled Cider House, for gatherings up to 70; and the Brewers Club, an intimate space for parties up to 32. River's Bend Ranch is a family-owned working ranch in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, set on more than 250 acres between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the George Washington National Forest, with a half-mile of frontage along the Shenandoah River's South Fork. For nearly 40 years, the ranch has hosted weddings, group retreats, and getaways in a quiet, remote setting away from highways and crowds.
