Adventure Science Center is a not-for-profit science and technology center perched atop a hill just minutes from downtown Nashville, with panoramic skyline views from several of its spaces. Best known for its 175-plus hands-on exhibits and the state-of-the-art Sudekum Planetarium, the center opens its 56,000 square feet of exhibit halls for private events after hours and on the days it's closed to the public. Event spaces range from the Jack Wood Hall, which seats up to 136 for a banquet with downtown views and built-in AV, to the West Galleries and the Wonders of the Universe hall, a second-floor space with an open layout, a built-in amphitheater, and NASA exhibits. Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit conference, retreat, and education center set on a 10-acre historic campus in Nashville. The campus began more than 100 years ago as the School for Christian Workers and today welcomes weddings, receptions, and private events alongside its ongoing mission-based programming. At the heart of the campus is Wightman Chapel, built in classic Gothic cathedral style in 1928 and designed with acoustics that resonate throughout the space. The Rev. Hachland Hill is a family-run bed & breakfast, dining inn, and retreat center set on 80 acres of wooded hills in Joelton, just outside Nashville and about 25 minutes from the airport. The property has operated since 1955, and its grounds carry a long history: the land was once home to Cherokee and Chickasaw communities drawn to its spring-fed waters and abundant wildlife, and in the early 1700s it became known as "Paradise Hills" after two French brothers named Paradise settled the area. Crystal springs still run through the property today, alongside sassafras, maple trees, and wild turkeys, deer, and foxes. The Pick Inn is a family-owned event venue in Gallatin, Tennessee, about 40 minutes north of Nashville and directly across the street from Bledsoe Creek State Park. The property was purchased from Joy and Jesse McReynolds of the bluegrass duo "Jim & Jesse" — the venue's name is a nod to Jesse, since a fiddle player is traditionally called a "picker" in bluegrass music. Father-daughter owners Don Mercer and Amanda Jackson took over and renovated the property in 2015 after Amanda was married there in 2014, and have since hosted more than 250 weddings on site.
