The Freight Shed sits at Riverwalk Landing on the York River in historic Yorktown, Virginia. Built in 1935 by the National Park Service after a storm destroyed much of the original waterfront, the building served as a terminal for Baltimore steamships until 1952 and later operated as a post office, before an extensive 2005 renovation coincided with the opening of Riverwalk Landing. Today the roughly 1,950-square-foot venue hosts weddings, reunions, banquets, concerts, and business meetings and lectures for up to 130 seated guests. Glass arched doors open onto a large brick riverside plaza, with river views and sunsets forming a backdrop for photography, while an adjoining tented area extends the space for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dancing. A Freight Shed rental includes use of the venue, tables and white chairs suitable both indoors and under the tent, the adjacent tent space, and access to a caterer's kitchen. The venue is available for events from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Westmoreland State Park sits on 1,321 acres along the Potomac River's Northern Neck, at the site of the region's fossil-rich cliffs. Established in 1936 as one of six original Virginia state parks developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For groups and celebrations, the park's Helen and Tayloe Murphy Hall is a CCC-era meeting facility with a 45-by-27-foot main hall, an executive boardroom, and a full catering kitchen, available for day-use rental from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weddings can be held indoors in Murphy Hall, which accommodates up to 72 guests for ceremonies and receptions, or outdoors on the Visitor Center lawn overlooking the Potomac, which holds up to 75 guests for ceremonies. Murphy Hall comes equipped with folding and round tables, upholstered chairs, Wi-Fi, and audio/visual equipment, with catering and DJ services permitted with proper insurance. Beyond its event spaces, the park offers hiking trails, fishing, boating access to the Potomac River and Rock Spring Pond, and beaches known for fossil hunting, along with camping and cabin accommodations for overnight guests.

Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club sits on a historic property in Northumberland County, Virginia, along the shores of Indian Creek in the Northern Neck. The estate traces its roots to the 18th century as "East Richland" before being redeveloped after World War II and officially chartered as a private club in 1955. Portions of the original house, including the entrance hall and living room, remain part of the clubhouse today. The Club's elegantly decorated dining rooms accommodate up to 350 guests for a standing reception or 250 for a seated dinner, offering a backdrop of golf course and creek views for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, anniversaries, and other private celebrations. An on-site banquet manager guides each event from planning through execution, and the Club's chef offers menus ranging from passed hors d'oeuvres to seated dinners and buffets. Beyond its event spaces, the Club offers golf, tennis and racquet courts, a marina with dockside facilities, and a pool, giving members and their guests a range of settings for both formal celebrations and casual gatherings.
