Camp Friendship sits on more than 600 acres in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, with rolling hills, woods, a lake, and frontage along the Rivanna River, a short drive from Charlottesville and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. Founded in 1966 by Chuck Ackenbom, the camp remains family-run today and is accredited by the American Camp Association. While best known as a traditional overnight summer camp, Camp Friendship opens its grounds each spring and fall for weddings and retreats, including family camp weekends and women's weekend getaways. Couples can hold a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on site, with spaces such as Council Fire, the Dance Pavilion, and Overlook Lodge — which includes wedding suites for preparation — set among the camp's lakeside and wooded settings. Guests can stay overnight in camp lodging as part of a wedding or retreat weekend and take part in classic camp activities such as waterfront paddling, archery, and a high ropes course. The Inn At The Old Silk Mill is located in the heart of Fredericksburg's historic downtown. The Inn, which was built in the 1930s, was one of the largest motor lodges on the east coast at the time. The Inn exudes a relaxed elegance that is infused with a sense of nostalgia for a bygone period. There are 27 antique-appointed bed and breakfast rooms, each with its own private bath, making the Inn an excellent choice for a romantic weekend away, wedding reception, corporate retreat, or any other occasion. A warm greeting awaits guests in the foyer, which features a magnificent staircase and chandelier (which is thought to have formerly belonged to the George Mason family). It also serves as a fantastic photo opportunity. During the winter months, our guests can warm themselves by the fireplace in the lobby, which also includes a parlor area with a player piano, coffee, tea, and cookies for their enjoyment. During the warmer months, the Courtyard, which is located between the Inn and the Mill, is a wonderful area to sit and unwind. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee in our on-site Copper Shop, where our local coppersmith, Al Green, handcrafts his popular and patented "Fredericksburg Lantern," which can be purchased. Every day, a hot, freshly prepared continental breakfast is provided at no charge. The courtyard, which is straight out the back doors of the Inn and leads to the Silk Mill, is a great place for outdoor seating. The Inn is an ideal location for romantic vacations, girls weekends, family or military reunions, church and business retreats, and even a small private wedding ceremony and reception.

Riverside Center for the Performing Arts is a dinner theater in Stafford County, just outside Fredericksburg, Virginia, presenting Broadway-style musicals and live productions with an optional three-course dinner. The theater opened in June 1998 with a production of Oklahoma!, built around founder Rollin E. Wehman's vision for a dinner theater format, and today seats more than 400 guests at tiered tables around a traditional proscenium stage. The building includes Virginia's only dinner theatre fly loft, along with a chandeliered lobby and ballroom. The organization rebranded as Riverside Center for the Performing Arts in 2016, adding live orchestras to its productions, and achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2024, expanding its educational programs and community scholarships in the performing arts.
