    Housed in the historic Virginia Dairy building at 1812 West Main Street in Richmond's Fan District, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond has supported the region's creative life since 1963, when it was founded in Church Hill as the Hand Workshop. After leasing space for 17 years, the organization purchased and later renovated the building, completing a 2007 expansion that created a 30,000-square-foot arts center anchored by the 1,800-square-foot True F. Luck Gallery. The center's 17 professionally-equipped studios support media ranging from clay, glass, and metals to photography, printmaking, and creative writing, and its programming reaches more than 50,000 people each year through over 1,600 classes taught by more than 250 instructors. Beyond classes and exhibitions, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond opens its facility for off-site meetings, corporate holiday parties, anniversary celebrations, bar and bat mitzvahs, baby showers, and other private gatherings. Rentals include an hour for clean-up and use of the center's in-house A/V equipment. The venue also hosts childrens birthday parties built around a private studio art class, and a Creativity at Work program that brings corporate teams together for team-building through the creative process.

    Housed in the former Glen Allen School building on a 50,300-square-foot campus in Henrico County, The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen has served as a nonprofit multidisciplinary arts venue since 1999. Its mission is "building community through the transformative power of the arts," and the Center presents art exhibitions, concerts, theatrical productions, dance performances, and educational classes for all ages alongside its facility rental program.     James River Cellars Winery is Richmond's oldest winery, set on a 20-acre former farm in Montpelier, Virginia that founder Ray Lazarchic converted into a vineyard after discovering a shared passion for Gewürztraminer with his daughter Mitzi and her husband James Batterson. Opened in 2001, the winery remains family-run today: Mitzi oversees the business, James produces every wine on-site, and Ray tends the property's landscaping. The winery's signature Gewürztraminer, a drier Alsatian-style wine with white spice and floral notes, has become its calling card. For weddings and private celebrations, the winery offers a covered 45'x80' Pavilion overlooking a landscaped lawn, complete with a private bridal suite, a 20'x20' bonus tent, and space for up to 150 guests. Smaller gatherings can book the Montpelier Room or the Hanover Room and Ashland Overlook, both banquet-style spaces suited to seated dinners or cocktail receptions.
