Arte Cafe officially opened its doors 26 years ago, but it all began when Dina Malta traveled all the way from Italy to New York in the 1960s. Robert, her son, was a college student when he launched his first restaurant in the early 1990s, when he was still in college. There are many different types of events that can be held at the Parlour. Our spaces have been created to host and accommodate your needs as much as possible. From a small space for a nice dinner party to a medium-sized space for a medium-sized party, or a larger space for a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement party, bar mitzvah, corporate events, beer pong, and more, we have a space to accommodate your needs. The Coffee Bar, which is also known as the Espresso Bar, is located on the left hand side of our restaurant as you enter. Guests can easily accommodate 50 to 60 people in this pleasant and comfortable space. As you enter our restaurant, the main bar is located on the right-hand side of the building. This space has a dining area as well as a cocktail area that can accommodate up to 90 people. This is primarily for a special mid-size event of great significance. There are private bathrooms, a dining area, and a dancing area in our downstairs lounge, which is located in our basement. With appetizers and cocktails, we can accommodate up to 175 guests. For a sit-down dinner, we can accommodate up to 75 people. On request, we can provide a DJ and/or Karaoke services. In addition to our pool table, which serves our customers on a daily basis, the back room can be transformed into an elegant setting for a small private dinner event for up to 25 guests. Each loft-style venue combines a flexible, finished design with intense lighting and sound environments to create a unique experience for guests. These include high-definition projection on screens or on the walls, LED display technologies, and internet speeds that are unheard of. Concierge and event production services are available on a variety of levels. These services include bartending and catering, as well as rentals, staffing, and more. Minton's Playhouse in Harlem, New York, is considered to be one of the most important shrines in the history of jazz, and this can be argued with equal force. In a sense, Minton's was the birthplace of Bebop; in a more literal sense, it was the place where the foundations of modern jazz were laid. It was founded in 1938 by the saxophonist Henry Minton (from whom the establishment took its name), and over the next decade, Minton's Playhouse became the scene of a revolutionary shift in jazz performance. Minton's Playhouse is regarded as a pivotal location in the history of jazz in New York City.
