Stone Manor, located high in the Malibu hills, is a little closer to heaven than most places, and it boasts a view that is commensurate with its close proximity to Paradise. The estate, which sits in a secluded cove at the end of its own private road, commands sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, which stretches from Catalina Island to Santa Monica Bay. Moreover, while the panoramic vista is undoubtedly something to behold, the house and grounds are equally impressive. The mansion, with its thick walls and stone façade, is reminiscent of an English manor house in its design and layout. It presides over a series of formally landscaped terraces that step down to the edge of the property and are all set against the backdrop of the sea and the sky, respectively. Ceremonies are usually held on the upper terrace, which is a large U-shaped lawn with a slate aisle running down the center. The courtyard welcomes up to 200 guests for outdoor weddings, receptions, quinceañeras, corporate gatherings, and birthday celebrations. Beautifully landscaped with islands of palm trees and flowering greenery, the space features a Spanish-tiled bubbling fountain, ivy-covered breezeways, graceful archways, wrought-iron railings, and towering turrets — creating a naturally photogenic setting throughout. Because Amy Schonheit (24, who works in the arts) and David Schonheit (24, who works in engineering) both have a passion for the outdoors, they chose to have their wedding ceremony at San Moritz Lodge in Crestline, California, which was surrounded by woodlands. As much as Amy and David adored the color teal, they decided to combine it with other hues to create a palette that blended in with nature—from the bridesmaid dresses, which came in a variety of styles and lengths, to the greenery that accented the sides of the wooden ceremony archway—to create a palette that blended in with nature. Amy desired a wedding gown that was simple yet elegant, and she found the perfect strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline that she accessorized with a silver belt. Amy and her husband were married in a simple yet elegant ceremony. Small wooden birdhouse-shaped props painted with numbers were placed at each dining table in the rustic building of the San Moritz Lodge to help guests find their seats when they arrived. Floral centerpieces, wheat, and small votive candles were arranged on top of burlap and lace that was draped across the middle of the tables to create a soft, romantic atmosphere. Featuring green leaves carefully placed on the surface of each layer and a tree-shaped topper, the two-tier white wedding cake perched on top of a tree trunk embodied the natural vibe of the day. More Mother Nature-inspired details can be found in the gallery below. At San Moritz Lodge in Crestline, California, the reception was held in the rustic space of the lodge's rustic space. It was designed to look like a log cabin, complete with wooden ceilings, stone walls, and brown carpeted floors, among other things.
