Perched atop the Republic Centre — Chattanooga's tallest building — The Walden Club is a private city club founded in 1975 by a group of local business and community leaders who envisioned a place of great food, personal service, and sky-high views of the city. From the outset, the club broke with the exclusionary norms of its era, welcoming members "without consideration of their race, sex, creed, or long local lineage." Today the club serves its members' social and professional life in equal measure, hosting everything from quiet luncheon meetings and small intimate dinners to large formal private parties and dances. Four distinct rooms give it that range: the grand Ballroom for weddings and galas, the Riverview Room overlooking the Tennessee River and Signal Mountain, the contemporary Tavern for cocktail-style gatherings, and the more intimate Tennessee and Forest rooms for private dinners and smaller functions. Members and their guests also have access to full dining service, with lunch and dinner offered several days a week, all set against panoramic views of downtown Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, and the Southside Historic District.

Guests and their event guests can get up close to alligators, otters, and freshwater fish in River Journey, then cross into Ocean Journey for penguins, sharks, stingrays, and moray eels, all with views of the Tennessee River. For private events, the Aquarium offers several distinct spaces. The Lupton Room, a 3,000+ square foot space in the River Journey building surrounded by sea nettle jellyfish and freshwater fish tanks, is equipped with AV and dimmable lighting and suits daytime meetings and luncheons. River Journey's outdoor pavilion and Ocean Journey's river-view galleries provide additional reception space, while the IMAX Great Hall, with its two-story arches, and the six-story IMAX 3D Theater lend themselves to elegant wedding receptions and corporate dinners. For larger celebrations, the entire Aquarium can be rented for a full-building buyout accommodating up to 1,500 guests, with exhibit access included throughout the evening. A 501(c)3 nonprofit that opened in 1992 as the centerpiece of Chattanooga's riverfront revitalization, the Aquarium continues to support freshwater conservation work through its research arm, the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute.

Bluff View Art District is a family-owned arts neighborhood perched on the bluffs above the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, spanning a block and a half of the city's first art district. Dr. Charles and Mary Portera began the district's revitalization in the early 1990s, purchasing its first building in 1991, now home to Rembrandt's Coffee House and River Gallery, and the district has since grown into a cluster of restaurants, galleries, and gardens set among renovated historic mansions. Event spaces throughout the district take advantage of its river views and gardens. Renaissance Commons offers a set of mahogany-paneled rooms, including one with a hand-tiled copper fireplace, suited to weddings, receptions, and corporate meetings. The Chattanooga Zoo is an AZA-accredited nonprofit zoo in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offering a fun and unique setting for corporate events, family days, weddings, and other celebrations. Alongside its animal exhibits, the zoo runs active wildlife rehabilitation and conservation programs and provides educational programming to thousands of children each year through field trips, camps, and outreach. For private events, the zoo offers a "Rent the Zoo" option that gives hosts access to the animals, a jungle-theme atmosphere, and a hands-on learning presentation delivered by zoo staff, so a host's role is largely limited to inviting guests and enjoying the party. The zoo also hosts birthday parties in its jungle-themed Zoo Birthday Party Room, located in the Education Center, with packages that include zoo admission, table and chair setup, and optional add-ons like giraffe feedings and carousel rides. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Chattanooga Zoo is supported by donations, memberships, and volunteers, and has earned recognition as a four-star charity from Charity Navigator and Gold Transparency certification from Candid.
