Hay House — the Johnston-Felton-Hay House — is a National Historic Landmark in Macon, Georgia, designated in 1974 and managed by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Spanning more than 18,000 square feet across 24 principal rooms, the mid-nineteenth-century Italianate mansion is recognized for its architectural significance, its technological innovations at the time of construction, and its remarkable collection of period interiors and fine art. Wesleyan College occupies a 200-acre wooded campus in north Macon, Georgia, on the National Register of Historic Places, built around a central quadrangle of Georgian Revival architecture that traces to 1928. Founded in 1836 as Georgia Female College, Wesleyan holds the distinction of being the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women — a history that gives the campus its particular character as a setting for celebrations. For private events, the college offers an unusually varied collection of spaces: Anderson Dining Hall seats up to 350 beneath a vaulted ceiling with large arched windows; the grand Porter Auditorium accommodates 1,124 for concerts, ceremonies, and theatrical productions; Oval Hall in the Candler Alumnae Building brings ornate moldings and parquet flooring to receptions and luncheons for up to 250; and Pierce Chapel, opened in 2015 on a knoll overlooking Foster Lake, seats approximately 300 for weddings and memorial services, with a lower-level reception area for around 70. Southern Bridle Farms is a wedding and event venue set on a quiet country property near Perry, Georgia, accessible off Highway 96 just three miles from Interstate 75. Founded in 2012 by two families who set out to build the space they couldn't find elsewhere, the property was designed from the ground up to accommodate gatherings of virtually any size under one roof. The centerpiece of the farm is The Cedar Barn — a 10,000-square-foot structure built in the tradition of old Southern barn design using hand-selected cedar and pine logged and milled locally. Inside, 36-foot ceilings rise above 8x8 support beams, three grand chandeliers, and large sliding barn doors that open onto the surrounding grounds. The barn accommodates 500 or more guests for receptions and large celebrations. The outdoor grounds include a covered ceremony chapel with an arbor entrance, a stacked stone fireplace anchoring a cocktail area, and a Cyprus Bridal Cottage with a kitchenette, bathroom, sitting area, and vanity. A stone column entryway and tree-lined paved drive set the arrival tone for the property.

For your next event, Cherokee Pines offers banquet space indoors and lovely outside area. We have the perfect setting for everything from weddings to birthday parties. Perfect for wedding receptions, family reunions, corporate parties, birthday/anniversary celebrations, and more! For a banquet style set up, seats 75-100 people (room size 1400 square feet) A small kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave is included in the banquet room. Tables and chairs are provided as needed. Have your ceremony at the chapel at Forest Hill Park and your reception in the banquet area at Cherokee Pine. Forest Hill Park is open all day Friday and Saturday, as well as Cherokee Pines on Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. At Cherokee Pines, you will have access to the full park area as well as the entire venue.
