The Winery at La Grange sits on land originally part of Robert "King" Carter's Bull Run Tract in Haymarket, Virginia, and traces its centerpiece — a three-story red brick manor house — to builder George Green. Boxwoods planted generations ago have grown to over 20 feet, forming a natural archway along the stone path that connects the manor house to the winery. Benoni E. Harrison purchased the property in 1827 and later served as Prince William County's delegate to the Virginia General Assembly; his name lives on today in Benoni's Lounge, the estate's stone-walled cellar.
