"Café Basque Los Angeles is a love letter. Straddling the borders of France and Spain, wedged between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, the Pays Basque (Basque Country) is fiercely independent and culturally and linguistically distinct from anywhere in the world. The cooking is joyful, generous and uncomplicated. Overflowing with excellent local products from the mountains and the sea, it has the particularity of being marked by the use of sweet and mildly hot peppers. Named after a town in the mountains above the port of St Jean de Luz, Espelette peppers were imported from central and south America in the 16th century and are a cornerstone of Basque cuisine in the same way that the American tomato has defined a large part of Italian cooking. Meanwhile, amid this rich culture and history, the Basque coast has been one of the world’s great surf destinations since the 1960s. Someone who writes a love letter is not necessarily a specialist on the subject and I do not pretend to be a specialist in Basque cooking. My love affaire is with France and its regions which have been an infinite source of inspiration to me for more than 20 years. To identify the essence of each cuisine and remain loyal to the approach and then to share it with each restaurant - colleagues and customers alike - is a source of particular personal satisfaction." — Chef Daniel Rose

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, surrounded by breathtaking Spanish Mission-style architecture, welcomes you to a destination where rich history and classic elegance coexist harmoniously with contemporary luxury and comfort in a setting that is both luxurious and comfortable. This iconic, AAA Four-Diamond hotel, which occupies an entire city block in downtown Riverside, California — just steps away from the Riverside Convention Center — has remained true to the grand style and ambiance that were enjoyed by its very first guests in 1876. In this place, magnificent vistas conceal an abundance of intimate hidden treasures hidden within their depths. And it's a haven where the stresses of the outside world are left behind, allowing for vivid memories to be created that will last a lifetime. The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, a National Historic Landmark and a member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America, evokes the romance and enchantment of a European castle through a design conceived by some of California's most famous architects, including Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Lloyd Wright Associates. Although one of the country's most historic hotels has undergone a century of meticulous restorations and improvements, it now ranks among the most modern structures on the country's property list. The majestic visuals, such as grand archways, flying buttresses, lofty domes, and towers, have not changed, but the old-world décor has been replaced by modern sophistication, with rooms, suites, and event venues showcasing the style and comfort that today's travelers expect. In addition to a welcoming staff that goes out of its way to make you feel like family, the hotel that heralded the beginning of the Riverside's new era of grace and refinement still does so today. Whatever your needs, whether you are looking for the ideal setting for a romantic getaway, an inspiring venue for your wedding or business event, or an unforgettable family vacation destination, your journey into a world of beauty and tranquility awaits you at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California. Our venue, which was formerly known as the Los Angeles Stock Exchange, pays homage to its illustrious and opulent Art Deco past. It took nearly two years of meticulous renovations and retrofitting before Exchange LA was finally ready to welcome the public as a vibrant venue that not only hosts nightclub events but also award shows, premiere parties and corporate events as well as fashion shows, film shoots, and charity galas. Originally built in 1930, this historic landmark has been transformed into a sprawling four-story venue that can accommodate up to 1,500 guests. Multiple rooms, seven full-service bars, state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and a massive LED screen display are all available at our ornate venue, which is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles' thriving art and entertainment district. The Pacific Coast Stock Exchange, with its 53-foot granite facade and the largest bronze doors in the region, was designed to be a sight to behold and to be feared. For nearly 80 years, the Moderne style building housed the offices of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange and the Pacific Stock Exchange. It was decommissioned in 1986. With 64 booths and a mezzanine, the trading floor was housed beneath a spectacular 40-foot ceiling. The building was designated as a Cultural Monument in 1979, and the Los Angeles Conservancy has taken steps to ensure that its exterior is protected.
