The larger room accommodates up to 150 guests seated or 250 for cocktail-style receptions; the smaller room fits up to 50 seated or 100 cocktail-style. Hill-Stead Museum is a National Historic Landmark set on 152 acres in Farmington, Connecticut. The Colonial Revival estate was designed in 1901 by Theodate Pope Riddle — one of the first licensed female architects in the United States — in collaboration with the renowned firm McKim, Mead & White. Theodate transformed Hill-Stead into a public museum upon her death in 1946, preserving the house, its Impressionist art collection, and the surrounding landscape exactly as she intended. The estate offers six distinct event spaces suited to a wide range of private celebrations, from intimate indoor gatherings to sweeping lawn events for up to 350 guests.
