The Oaks Events is a private lakeside venue set on 100 acres of farmland in Midland, North Carolina, located just outside Charlotte. The property centers on a four-acre lake surrounded by mature oak tree canopies and open landscaped grounds, offering a setting that works equally well for rustic-chic celebrations and more formal affairs. The Gazebo Ceremony Area sits directly on the lake, featuring high natural wood ceilings and scenic water views — with seating for more than 300 guests. For receptions, the 4,000-square-foot Pavilion is a fully enclosed, climate-controlled space with a chandelier over the dance floor, café lighting throughout, and a front patio with a firepit overlooking the lake. A dedicated catering prep room and restrooms are included within the Pavilion space. Founded in 1927, Cabarrus Country Club is one of the South's longest-operating country clubs, set on a 300-acre property in Concord, North Carolina, where an 18-hole championship golf course designed by George Cobb and a 25-acre lake frame the grounds. Membership is not required to book an event, and the club hosts everything from intimate gatherings to large corporate functions and weddings. The clubhouse Ballroom divides into three separate rooms and seats up to 200 guests; combined with the adjoining Atrium, it opens into a standing reception for as many as 300. The Atrium's hardwood floor leads onto a brick-and-wrought-iron Veranda overlooking the golf course, while the recently added Front Lawn, with its paver walkway and open green, suits outdoor wedding ceremonies.
