Old State North Club
201 Old North State Club Ln, New London, NC 28127, USA- Spaces for 250 Guests
Old North State Club is a private lakeside country club set on a peninsula along Badin Lake in New London, North Carolina, positioned between Charlotte and Greensboro at the edge of Uwharrie National Forest. Founded in 1991 with a Tom Fazio–designed championship golf course, the club hosts weddings, corporate retreats, and private celebrations for both members and non-members. Private events take shape across several distinct settings: an outdoor pavilion suited to ceremonies, a spacious terrace patio for cocktail hours, and an open-concept main dining room with sweeping views of Badin Lake. A sun porch adjoins the dining room for quieter conversation during festivities, and a rustic bar with a native stone fireplace rounds out the indoor gathering spaces. The club's Executive Chef provides customized catering — plated courses or buffet-style — and the property's lakeside lodge offers eight waterfront rooms for destination-event guests.
Morning Glory Farm
6205 Kate Rd, Monroe, NC 28110, USA- Spaces for 200 Guests
Morning Glory Farm is a private estate venue set on a working farm in Monroe, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte. The property was designed in 1993 by an architect who built an Italian-style farmhouse on the land, and it was purchased in 2006 by Scott and Nan, who continue growing blueberries, asparagus, and seasonal vegetables using organic farming practices. The farm hosted its first outdoor wedding in Fall 2011. Surrounded by sparkling cafe lights, lush greenery, and overgrown rose bushes, the setting carries what the venue describes as a "sophisticated, magical, and quaint backyard" feel. The family-run team — Nan, Maggie, and Scott — takes a personal approach to each event, supporting couples throughout the planning and preparation process to help bring their individual style to life. Morning Glory Farm has been featured in Country Living, The New York Times, Style Me Pretty, The Venue Report, Wedding Sparrow, and Cottage Hill.
