Farmington Polo Club sits on 80 acres in the heart of Connecticut's Farmington Valley. This historic equestrian estate looks out over manicured polo fields, gardens and Avon Mountain. It's home to the Hunter/Jumper and Polo disciplines, and exhibition polo matches run on summer Saturdays from June through September. The club has indoor and outdoor spaces for events of almost any size. Couples can say "I do" at the garden Gazebo or the Pergola, then walk the stone pathways to their reception. Reception options include the Aqueduct Room, which seats up to 200 guests, and the Clubhouse Dining Room, which seats up to 380. Both have a private patio. Hill-Stead Museum is a National Historic Landmark set on 152 acres in Farmington, Connecticut. The Colonial Revival estate was designed in 1901 by Theodate Pope Riddle — one of the first licensed female architects in the United States — in collaboration with the renowned firm McKim, Mead & White. Theodate transformed Hill-Stead into a public museum upon her death in 1946, preserving the house, its Impressionist art collection, and the surrounding landscape exactly as she intended. The estate offers six distinct event spaces suited to a wide range of private celebrations, from intimate indoor gatherings to sweeping lawn events for up to 350 guests. Outdoor venues include the West Lawn and Veranda with panoramic views of the Litchfield Hills, the former grass tennis court enclosed by handcrafted stone walls, and the Beatrix Farrand-designed Sunken Garden in bloom from spring through autumn. Indoor options include the Arts and Crafts-style Makeshift Theater, the glass-walled Glass Room overlooking the kitchen garden, and the antique-appointed Pope Board Room. Outside catering is permitted, and the rental includes parking, a bridal suite, a dedicated event supervisor, and a security guard for the duration of the event.

This historic building makes for a great site for a wedding. The staff will help to coordinate all aspects of the wedding from entertainment to food to the ceremony. The barn is open April through November and will make for a memorable and unique day. The maximum rental time of the barn is six hours, which is a reasonable length for a wedding. It is also extremely affordable which makes it a desirable place to host a modest wedding. The seating in the barn is limited to 135 people, but you can provide additional tables and chairs if necessary to accommodate all of your guests.

TPC River Highlands is a private golf club and event venue in Cromwell, Connecticut, situated on a bluff overlooking the Connecticut River. The club hosts the PGA TOUR's Travelers Championship and has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 10 golf courses in Connecticut. The 40,000-square-foot clubhouse, unveiled in 2019, offers three event spaces that are open to both members and non-members. The Highlands View Event Hall spans nearly 4,600 square feet and is well suited for weddings, large banquet functions, and corporate events. The Overlook accommodates up to 50 guests and features an adjoining balcony with views of the championship course. Grille 58, the club's restaurant, includes a 2,400-square-foot wrap-around balcony with covered and uncovered outdoor seating overlooking holes 15 through 18.
